Trying again-Anyone taking Glucosamine on regular basis?
On to my question;
Of course in addition to your regular vits and supplements? I was having severe shoulder & upper arm pain which took me for an shoulder xray where the painhad originated only to find there was an old fracture. That was 3 weeks ago...since then not much shoulder pain it moved to my upper arm muscle and forearm. It makes me actually want to cry and I am one who can't even take Tylenol (allergy)
. A few weeks ago I bought Glucosamine 1500 mg to see if this would benefit "my skin" since its in my skincare. I noticed and made notes the days I took it the pain was not there but it destroyed my gut. I am wondering the long term effects of it on our pouches. Today I took it with Zantac, slimfast, my vits and lots of Fage (greek yoigurt over 2 hours and so far I am okay, no gut issue at all. . I'm sure the zantac and dairy helped but am wondering if its to harsh for me to continue on a daily basis. I am sure this is osteoarthritis as I do have osteoporosis and am waiting on my ortho appt.
Any comments on glucosamine would be appreciated.

Paula,
I take ProCapsLabs vits and supplements because they have no fillers and "not" compressed into a tablets. You can look at their site just add the .com It's 1500mg of just pure glucosamine sulfate with a 10 mg Vit C...this item is called Repara and there is another product with glucosamine & chondrotin. There are probably tons of sites with this type product but h ave been using this same company 26 years and I trust them. This cap is not big but powerful, I see a great difference in my pain level over the last week. I did start taking two a day, one with each meal and since my meal is slimfast with unjury or yogurt w/fruit it does coat my stomach well. Last night I forgot to take it and this morning couldn't stand the pain in my upper arm so I know its is working for me. It sure must be working as a anti-imflammatory for me.
