Which do you find works better for you?  Keeping a written journal of foods and activities, or keeping track on your FitDay, Sparkspeople, DailyPlate, etc.?

I use thedailyplate.com most of the time but I usually keep a notepad in my purse as well.  If I eat something and I can't use the computer right away, I'll it down before I forget then record it when I can use a computer.

I have found using thedailyplate.com has been the best resource for me b/c I can track both food and exercise at the same time. I like the way the calories burned are used in conjunction with your calories for the day to give you a good overview of how many calories you're actually expending for the day. I do find it to be addictive though, LOL, and I have to jump online often to track my food!!!

I have been using the CalorieKing and it also tracks my exercise, protein etc.  I had thought about a notepad also, but I already carry a book to log my journaling so I'll see what happens but I definitely need to track everyday.

I used fitday for my meals and activity. When I think of journaling, I think of writing out the days "stuff". By that, I mean the thoughts and feelings of the day - what happened...how I responded...lessons learned. This is very useful and a good historical item. (I want to write a book one day!)

Fitday is great..I'm still using it to track my weight on my anniversary date (15th of every month). I have one place where my "history" is located.

Good luck!

With the DS: there is no stoma, so no stoma strictures; there are no limitations (other than volume) against drinking before, during or after meals; 80% of ingested fat is malabsorbed; 98.9% of type II diabetics are CURED of this devastating disease, with data showing stable cure over 10 years out; there is the best average weight loss and most durable (average 76% excess weight loss going out 10 years) of all of the bariatric surgeries.  That's why I had a DS!
