My butt hurts! Question for everyone
I experienced the same thing, it did eventually go away, I guess some of my body fat redistributed itself because I had lost some more weight and have not gained. I am 2.5 years post op and I would guess it is about a year since I had that problem. They do sell special cushions that have an area cut out in the back of it for where your ****yx bone(tail bone) sits so you wouldn't have the pressure when sitting,. I never bought one myself.

I've had this problem for about 9 months now. The pain is there all the time and ranged from mildly annoying to ecscruciating and often brings me to tears. I've tried special cushions, donut pillows, ice, stretching, and numerous other home treatments to no avail! I went and saw my PCP who ordered an x-ray - it was normal (I expected it would be) and she shrugged her shoulders and said to gain some weight.
Ummm....NO! Not my answer to the problem. So I have an appointment on Oct 1 with an orthopedic spine specialist and I'm hoping he will do a cortisone injection. If that doesn't work then I'm going to beg him to saw the darn thing off. Yes, it hurts bad enough that I would go under the knife to get rid of the pain!
I'll let you know how my appt goes with the Ortho...

Yep, I had that too, but thankfully I don't have a job where I have to sit alot. It does get better and better with time so hang in there!!! Short of taking a pillow or one of those blow up rings with you I'm not sure what you can do except tough it out. Good Luck!

I've heard the theory that when you are SMO your body accepts a certain shape - including your spine. Then when you loose a lot of weight rapidly your spine is still in the "old" fat position and takes a while to re-adjust to the new body structure.
I don't know, but mine doesn't seem to want to re-adjust
