Just wondering how others are supplimenting fiber - do you take a fiber pill or use the powder disolved in liquid?? Thanks.

There are a number of different fiber supplements you can take. I had better luck eating dired peas or dried edamame for fiber enriched diet to help with the "porcelain throne" issues. I talk about these on my profile story DAVE

I tend to eat a lot of beans, veggies and fruit with fiber.  On those days when I don't feel as if I have compensated enough I will add some Bob's Red Mill Oat Hot ceral into a protein shake, or some other thing that I'm having.  The plus side of throwing it into a fruit protein smoothie is that #1 it leaves me full, longer.  #2 helps with the absorption of the smoothie.  A win-win situation.

My colon/rectal dr put me on original Fiber One cereal daily and it definitely does the trick!

Thank you for your responses - I'm trying to find some alternatives - I'm cutting all grains/sugars out of my diet -going on a low gl diet due to some issues with foods. Thanks for the pea idea - only problem is I love wasabi peas too much - they are a trigger food with me and contribute to grazing. :(

Looks like you are gonna have to find bottled fiber then because all your natural foods that have good fiber are going to be carbs.... Good luck!

I used all kinds of fiber tabets and powders....nothing works like Fiber One cereal for 14 gs of the stuff! Works GREAT! One serving is nice and filling too!  I just eat it dry right out of the measuring cup!  LOL

I'm following a very specific no grain no sugar food plan due to some addictive issues I have with food..and sugars/carbs/grains trigger me. But they (the plan I'm following, it's a 12 step group) allow us to have Wheat Germ in place of cooked vegetable..not sure exactly how wheat germ equals that...but it's 4 grms fiber for 2 Tbs..and wheat germ is good on EVERYTHING!!!!! mixed with a little melted butter and splenda pressed in the bottom of a small container with 4 oz cottage cheese ciniman and splenda mixed together and put on top of the "crust"...oh my gosh! So yummy!!  it's also good mixed in EVERYTHING almost! From yogurt to tomato salads to regular salads it's my new favorite food :)

I eat quite a bit of Fiber One products (cereal, English muffins, etc.) as well as take Benefiber.

Occasionally I put 2 tsp of Benefiber in my shake.  You can't even tell it's there.

If you have a "problem", just add this to all your daily shakes.  I've heard you can put it in any liquid, but I've only tried shakes.
