First I just want to say thanks to everyone for giving me the motivation to get back on track. I had RNY in 2003 and have gained 20lbs in the last few months due to some medication. I have been doing the eliptical machine for the past 7 days and I'm up to 45mins . I have been watching my eating its nice to come on this site to show accountability thats what I really need!

Thanks,
Shannon

Hi Shannon,

We are so proud of you  Make sure you are getting  your water in, eating often and eating your protein first.  That will really help.  Be sure to get back to your journal if you are not doing so.

We are going to have fun and do it

Take care,
Kathy

Kathy & all,
I went to the gym this morn.--hadn't been there for a couple wks. cause we've just  had such beautiful weather that I've been walking outside instead.  Anyway, I did a 10-min. warm-up on the treadmill and then 35 min. on the elliptical.

I know I need to get back with the weight training.  It has been so long since I've done any that I know I'm just procrastinating getting back to it.  It's not that I especially hate it or anything; it's just that I hate to see how out of shape I've gotten.  Since I started exercising again just 2 1/2  wks. ago, I've just been doing cardio, which it great, but I know I also need the w.t.

I'm doing well on my goals--staying within my limits on thedailyplate.com, getting in my water or C.L., exercising, vits.  I feel good!!  And I've lost about 9 lbs., which is extremely motivating even though I know it's a lot of initial water weight!  I'll take it anyway!

Good luck on your 5K training, Kathy!

Always,
Jo
