Hi all
I am a little over two years out and havent been on the site. I have been recovering from drinking I became a terrible alcoholic about 5 months after my surgey. Thankfully i am now celebrating being 8 months clean and sober land in this time i have been in recovery my eating got a lot out of control and i put 30 pounds back on. Thankfully to this site I have gotten some great ideas on how to get back on track and i plan to visit the site everyday to get the support that i so desperatley need in this issue. I cant wait to feel that my sucess can not only be with my not drinking but also getting control back of my body. I know this is a tool and i have to make the changes nessacary to make this work. I just have to take it one day at a time just like i do with my drinking. I look forward to getting to know more of you better.
Take care

Welcome Sabrina, and congratulations on 8 months of sobriety!
Take things one day at a time and make small changes with your eating and in time you will start to see that scale move back down.
You can get back in control and this messageboard will be here to help support you on your weight loss journey.
All the best

Sabrina,
You have much to be proud of and grateful for!
It's great that you came here. I am back on track after being WAY off for a long time & paying for it with (surprise, surprise) a hefty weight gain.
After 2 wks. of eating the way I should, exercising, weaning myself off a steady stream of Diet Coke, returning to drinking water or Crystal Light, & posting my food on www.thedailyplate.com, I feel so much better physically & mentally already. I have a long ways to go, but I feel motivated. Coming to this board every day helps me tremendously!
Hope you make this board a daily habit!

Hello and welcome back! Congrats on your 8 months sobriety. I pray for continued success in your recovery from alcoholism. It is hard to lose again after a weight gain but it can be done. I've been there. Just come and visit this forum as often as possible and you will get lots of support and encouragement as motivation to stay clean and sober as well as getting and staying back on track in your weight loss efforts. Good luck and blessings.
