i had my 1 year appointment on Friday, August 15th. I had Gastric Bypass but have not lost a pound in 6 months. He was very concerned and I have an upper GI scheduled for 8 am in the morning. I was told this one is not invasive like the first one before surgery, that its done with ultrasound?? He is worried about the restriction no longer being there, as I am hungry ALOT, and its not head hunger. I am not full after eating 4 - 6 oz of food. So the only thing he can come up with right now is MAYBE my stomach has fused together? Has this happened to anyone else? If so, whats next?? another major surgery??

I've been feeling exactly as you do.  I can eat ANYTHING......, I have not lost significant lbs in the past 6 months. (I'm down a total of 100 lbs.)   I've slowed down to a trickle.  I had hoped to have lost much more weight at this point in my WLS progress!!!!!       HOWEVER, I've had surgery on my arm & pretty much stopped exercising because of serious pain in right knee. (I decided against surgery/knee replacement.)  My doc is happy with the progression or lack of fast weight lost.  So i'm stuck between a rock & hard place here.    I still feel like even though wls surgery works for others, it will not work for me.  I just can't shake my fear that this is all that I will lose.    Soo......, I've just been looking the other way, not weighing in, and avoiding things in general.  I really need to get back in the grove of this weight lost journey.....,    SO-O-O-O-O   I'm very interested in your answer from other readers.  I was watching one of the health TV channels where they highlighted a young lady with our same symptoms/background.  She stopped losing weight after a year of weight lost and actually started to gain weight!!!!!   After her exam with her doc, she found that everything was "OK" but she needed to "start - over" with her nutritionist to develop a positive eating plan  (AGAIN).  I pray that you will find your way to regain your move towards losing the rest of your lbs.  send me a message when you get your answer, please.  i'm [email protected].  also, try putting your question at, wls q&a database.  You will get OVERNITE responses!!!   There are a few responses now which I'm going to read myself at http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/information/questio n.php?N=E1109621862.   Bless you.

Thank you so much for your response! I will check out the link you provided when I get home from my Upper GI, which I leave for in a few minutes. I PRAY that I do not have the fistula my Dr is thinking I may have. I, too have actually started gaining. My Dr didnt realize it because of the intervals of when I see him, but I am 8 lbs heavier than i was in april

Same here, honey.  I only lost about 70lbs, and I am now having to go in for the same procedure. (Next Tuesday.)  I am very worried.

Even more so 'cause my surgery was in April of last year, and I have only lost about 70 lbs and I gained about 8 pounds since May.
