No, I don't. Actually, I was having a conversation with Jane about a friend of hers. She is having regain and the doctor mentioned that the stoma (actually--they never use that word) was the right size--around the size of a quarter. So we were wondering. I did have an endoscopy a year or so ago and I have a picture of it. Wonder if the doc measured my stoma. It is interesting how the focus of this particular article is on stenosis and we here on the grads board oare often concerned with stretching. If I read that right they are talking about using fascia or something to wrap around it to keep it from stretching. I have heard of many people having a band for that purpose--but the only time I have heard of that previously was from Mardi Gras. I have seen her post about it.

Yea, I think Mardi was the first person I heard of who had that done. I'll have to ask my surgeon about it. I'm curious.
My endoscopy they measured my pouch but not the stoma other than the fact that it was well open (non-strictured). Not sure I liked the terms they wrote regarding it being open. I'll have to look up what they said.
Kathy--I have no idea what he meant. I was particularly interested in what was said because it was at the hospital where I had mine done--but not my surgeon. I know when I had my last endoscopy the doc commented on how small my pouch still was-and when I asked about the stoma she looked at me like I was wacked. I have never heard a doc use that term--have you?
