Feeling kind of blah... (3 months post op)
I know this was bound to happen. This is a long process and I am only 3 months post op.
I have been fighting a bit of a cold and have had to put longer hours in at work this week. I'm tired, the scale is - well blah, I look at it too much (really the scale has been super agreeable, but just the past two days it hasn't).
I have had more thoughts of bad food. It is really me trying to think of an escape from the blah's from me really wanting them.
I'm heading to the gym to lift some weights, make myself feel strong, then kick some ass w/ sprints on the treadmill. I'm hoping this gives me the high it usually does and I get all of my inspiration back. I have a long way to go and want to make sure I reright myself when my thoughts are off before my actions start veering off.
I hope everyone is having a good day. We can do this.
I am experiencing the same things that you are. I am a bit past the three months point. I got a bit of the blues last week. I am starting to feel like I am coming out of it. I just kept eating to plan and moving. I took some quiet time for myself too. I am sure the cold and work is not helping the situation. I give you kudos for not falling for the food thoughts! That is great! I decided to increase the intensity of my workouts this week too. Seemed to have helped. This post made me realize that we will have times like these and just have to stay the course and let it pass!

I'm right there with you-- my surgery was two days before yours, and my scale is being disagreeable, too. I went to Target yesterday and walked past the Easter candy and was kind of bummed that I couldn't have any... but I kept on walking so that's pretty good.
Heading to the gym sounds like a great plan! I need to finish assembling my new treadmill (that's a workout in itself!) and hopefully I can log some time too.
Hang in there! :)

Easter season is just plain cruel. Have you seen the ads with the chocolate bunny walking up to a jar of peanut butter? The Reese's peanut butter eggs at Easter were one of my favorite things.
What's with all the scale problems at three months? ME TOO. How much LESS can I eat to make the numbers go down? In reality, it's DRINK MORE FLUIDS/EXERCISE MORE. I know this. But damn, it's frustrating.

In my case, it's probably EAT MORE. I've been averaging 500 cal lately and I have a hard time forcing myself to eat... even though I know that's EXACTLY why I feel so sick when I wake up in the morning with my stomach turning over on itself. Blurgh.

Thank you everyone for the support. I had a great workout and chat with my sister. I'm feeling a bit better.
I recently started dating again and I think that is a entire other roller coaster. I might need to put that on the back burner for a few more months.
:)
