Tankful Tursday on Friday ???

Well, yesterday started out as a really busy day, and Tankful Tursday was laid aside.  Was it on purpose, or was it an accident?  To be truthful, it was accidentally on purpose.  Confusing, isn't it?

Here's my thought on this.  For 7 weeks now, we have been designating one day a week as Tankful Tursday. A day to rejoice for all that is going on in our lives.  But is Thursday the only day of the week you are thankful?  Or is Thursday just a nice day to proclaim it to the world?  That's a lot of questions this early in the morn!

My challenge to you is to be Tankful everyday.  Start the morning off with a moment of reflection and look back.  We do it all the time!  We think back to where we were before weight loss.  We look at our lives daily and remember what it was like to be obese and unable to move around.  We remember how hard it was to walk up a flight of stairs carrying a load of laundry several times a day.  We reflect on how we even accomplished the mundane things in life.

So, take a moment and look into that magic mirror and be Tankful!  Tankful Tursday is only a name, but true Thankfulness can happen at any time!

This week I am Tankful for a loving God who looks beyond my faults and sees my needs!  By the way, I love that song!

I'm Tankful for a wife and son who make my life hectic, full, and busy but complete.  Their support and love amazes me daily!

I'm Tankful for weight loss surgery and the new found life that has followed me since Dec. 18th!

And this week I'm Tankful to be surrounded by a group of friends that listen , encourage, motivate, slap my wrist, point me in the right direction, and most of all SUPPORT ME!  You know who you are, just look in the mirror!

Today I'm shouting from the roof that every day can be Tankful Tursday!!!!!!!

Thankful for all the same things that Scott said, also thankful for my job (which I love, but this week it has been one I love to hate).  But everyday that I go to work, I am blessed that I have good health and that I am lying in one of the many beds in Critical Care.

This week I have been in a workshop for Autism.  Another story for later but loved the class.  So, with that being said, I am thankful for the health of all my family.  I am thankful that thier are people placed on this earth to work with not just children with autism but children with special needs.  I am thankful that God leads us in directions ( all of which we are unaware of at times) of our life to things that we never thought we could accomplish or handle.  I am thnakful that it is Friday and the weekend is almost here.  I am thankful for the time that I get to share with my family this weekend ( my dad adn mom, brothers and thier families)

Ditto, Scott!! Now let me add...

I'm especially thankful today to be home - on the mend - and not where I was a week ago!

I'm thankful for a genuinely compassionate and kind-hearted surgeon that hasn't just been there for me once, but twice!

I'm thankful for an incredible husband who has loved me the same through thick and thin - literally!

I'm thankful for two fabulous boys who make my life more incredibly full than I ever could have imagined!

TGIF! TGIF!

I'm thankful that I am small enough this year to ride on a ride at the fair with my friend, Mike. We never could go on a ride together. Both of us were obese. But tonight we are going to the fair and I cannot wait, cannot wait!!!

I'm thankful for my mother.  She gets on my nerves bless her heart, but I love her so much.

I'm thankful for my wonderful family and for the good people in my life. I'm thankful for my new grandson, that he is well and healthy. I"m thankful we have a roof over our heads and food on out table and that we don't want for much. I'm thankful for a loving savior who died for me. My thankfulness isn't necessarily in that order.
Blessings.

This wonderful site where people are so supportive and caring. You are all so full of wisdom and insight. I would not know what to do most of the time if it wasn't for this site.
