Back from Gatlinburg
Well at the last minute I decided to go to my family reunion last weekend. I had a great time and am so glad I went. When everyone gathered for the evening meals I stayed in my condo and rested. I'm not ready yet to sit and watch a roomful of people eating foods I love. I stayed true to my food plan, but it was hard with 2 fudge pies, brownies, and KK donuts sitting on the counter in our condo! Everyone was so supportive and I don't feel like it was any harder then had I been at home
So sorry I missed Friday night's dinner but I just couldn't pass up the reunion. It was our 19th and I've never missed one yet.
I had my sister take my picture as a before so that next year when we go back I can get a picture of me in the same spot as my after.

Baboo,
So glad you took advantage of the opportunity to go to your family reunion. I know you are glad too. Sounds like you had a good time. I understand about the food and being around it. I believe that is just a normal feeling we all experience in the very beginning stages. Trust me, it will soon pass and you will be able to be around others that are having things we no longer are able to.
Keep up the good work, you are doing great and in just a short time, your family will be wondering where all of you went. When you get that picture next year, be sure to post it as you will be amazed at the difference. Sometimes when I can't tell I'm making progress (even with measurements), I pull out pictures I've been taking along the way and I just smile.
Take care and I hope you have a great week.

Don't I live in the most beautiful place in the world?
Well, Marilyn, it sure is one of em anyway!
We absolutely love to ride our motorcycle up in your neck of the woods! There are so many great roads for motorcycling and absolutely fantastic scenery. Wish we could move there when I retire, but that ain't gonna happen. So, we'll just keep visitin' every chance we get!

The ride up and back was probably the hardest. We stopped in Crossville going up and Cookeville coming home. After looking at all the family pictures that were taken I can't wait til next year when I won't be the fattest one there! I don't come from an overweight family so when we all get together I really stand out. I usually try to hide in the back but this year I stood right in the front and smiled from ear to ear because I knew I would never again look that this!!!
