Some news and prayer request
As most of you know yesterday Phil and I went down to Montgomery Bell to try and register for the Walk and too maybe sale cookbooks. We got here about 8:00 or so and set up and was talking to people, had a couple of nibbles on registration, but no bites. They mostly had allready registered, which is great. Did sale 2 cookbooks. Got to meet some of the folks that post here and talked in between there seminars. Then about 11:00 my cell phone starts ringing and I really couldn't get a good signal where we was. After a few minutes, I seen where I had a voicemail, so I went outside where I had a little better reception and was able to hear...it was from my Mom to tell me the John my Step-dad had been taken to Skyline Hospital, something to do with his heart, but I really couldn't make the whole message out. So anyway we tried, different parts of the park trying to get a sginal. Finally I was able to get through to Mom. They where/are at Skyline John has had at least 2 or 3 heart attacks in the last 24 hours. He is in alot of pain, they have him on Morphin, and all kinds of IV's to try and help with the pain and to thin his blood. The are going to do a Artierygram (sp) on him Monday morning to see what if any damage has been done. There was 3 occasions yesterday and last night, where he would have the shortness of breath and sever chest pains. They would come running in with all the machines including the crash cart. All of this was very scary.They have him resting now and are going to try to keep him kinda out of it until they can do the test on Monday. We all left about 8:00 or so last night and will be going back soon. I'm sure that we will be out there most of the day Monday as well. I'm not sure what time they are doing the test. This is his 4th or 5th go around with his heart, he has had a bypass done twice and stents put in 2 or 4 times, not sure what is going to show up this time. When they would do blood work yesterday and last night his Enzyems (sp) would go up and from what they say everytime they go up then that means another heart attack. I think that they done a total of 5 EKG's on him while just while we was there.I will keep everyone posted as well as I can, in the mean time, please pray for John and my mom and the rest of us.
