I have been approved!
Dr. Boyce's office faxed my stuff to Cigna last Tuesday, July 8th, and I've been calling everyday to be told they haven't received it. So I called Dr. Boyce's office back, they tell me what to do, and voila! They did have the paperwork and I was approved within 48 hours of the submission! Yay!!!! They gave me an authorization verbally but dr's office has to have a hard copy via fax or mail.........so now's the waiting game! I am so flippin excited!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when I got my approval, it was a great feeling!!! The waiting game is over now, it should not take them long to get the hard copy, I hope you got the name of the person that gave you the verbal authorization and possibly and authorization code, if not, you may want to call and get that from your insurance for your records!! It will not be long and you will soon be a Loser too!!!

Congratulations! It's amazing how happy we are to get approval to let someone cut on us. LOL

That is great! Congrats! I too have Cigna so this is a good sign for me. I was worried that it might be an issue, but this gives me hope. I am scheduled for the seminar on Tuesday so I am ready to get the ball rolling. Can I ask what type of surgery you opted for? I think that I am going to go with the lap band.
