Can anyone tell me of a nice but cheap hotel in Nashville? We were hopeing to pay about $30.00 a night. But everything I pull up on the internet is very expensive. We were going to stay two nights a Saturday Feb 3 and Sunday ,check-out Feb 5, 2 adults . Any ideals. If you can give me a hotel name I can find a number. Thanks Charlotte

Charlotte, try the Baymont Inns, I know there are three in Nashville (used to work for Baymont in Bowling Green) and I believe there is one not to far from Vandy.. Winter months they have better rates, somewhere around 40.00. Hope this helps...Good luck, Belinda

Thanks guys I found a lot of good hotels by looking up the ones you suggested. Now I just have to sit down with my husband and see where he wants to stay. I found one that was like 85.00 for two nights. That's right up my alley. Thanks again. Charlotte

I don't know anything about the hotel, but I went to hotels.com and found Travelodge Nashville Downtown/Opry Area 800-246-8357 for $37 nightly. That's all I know.

Hi Charlotte, I don't know too much about hotels in that area, but there is a Days Inn, and if you have AAA road service, you can get major discounts. What type of surgery are you having? How far from the hospital do you live? If you are having the gastric bypass, several Dr.'s prefer their patients to stay in the area if they live over the fifty mile limit. Just in case of an emergency. Check for Family Inns. I had to stay in one for 5 days after surgery and it was only 29.95 a night. Best of luck, Kathy

I have used www.orbitz.com many times and have always found great hotel rates.

The surgery info packet from Vandy has a $49 medical rate at three hotels on the shuttle service to VMC. While this is a little more than you were wanting to pay, the shuttle eliminates the need for parking at the hospital, and is a lot cheaper than the $139 regular rate of most of the hotels in the area. There's a Peachtree Inn at 24th and Harding - I've had friends stay there who thought it was very reasonable. I'm not sure specifically. I know it doesn't have an indoor pool, though. Love Dennie
