Alive and well in DUBAI!!!

Guys, I got here after 21 total hours of travel and let me tell ya....it was so worth it! THis place is gorgeous and we are having the time of our lives! All my protein made it thru customs without problem. My brother has made it to where we are treated like royalty at the airport customs and it all went so smooth. I will post pics when I get on a camel! Will post a bunch when I get back Paula

21 hours counts all the time we spent in airports too. I consider it travel time as soon as I check my bags! We had several hours in New York and Hamburg Germany. But, like I said. It was so worth it! The camel ride will happen Thursday!

YOU were the topic of conversation in my grad class tonight. We were discussing comparative criminal justice and the value placed on human life in other cultures and I couldn't help myself...I started giggling. When the professor asked me what I was laughing at I had to tell the class about the $15,000 camels. Everyone got a kick out of that. Then that led into a discussion of the westernization of Dubai and I told him about what you said about going to Oman to see some "real" culture. Were your ears burning?
