I had my psych. evaluation!!

Well it went great.. Dr. Victor OBryan from Baptist Hospital called me to do the interview. He said that most of his evaluations are now done over the phone because of patients ability to come to him. It was very very thorough, and as he read off my "{score}... it pretty much described me! With the exception that I was moderately and mildly depressed. But I explained that my health is what is causing that in me.. my weight is always on my mind, my health is always a concern. Bottom line, I just told him that even with all of the risks, I want to live. I want to take control of my life, and have a healthy, productive, and happy life from now on! All in all, it was a very pleasant exprience. I am glad I did my homework, and that I had my research in front of me. He was definatly testing me to see how much I knew about WLS, and if it was something that I truly wanted. Next step - re-submitting info to insurance! I am praying. Thank you so much Juanita...I have one more hurdle to get over, and then I am sending my appeal in. Thank you for your encouragement.... I truly felt armed with information when I was talking to the doctor. So much of that information I gained by getting on this website, and reading profiles, and etc... it truly has been a blessing. Dr. OBryan did my eval too. I went to his office; I liked him a lot. As a matter of fact, I am thinking of going to him later as "issues" arise... esp when I start getting attention from the male gender and need some relationship advice. I think I'm pretty normal and healthy but I like to make sure... It doesnt hurt to talk about things to make sure I"m on the right track.
