Help finding a psychologists

I am having a hard time finding a psychologist that will take my insurance. They all want me to pay up front and then if my insurace approves payment they will reimburse me. I am in the Nashville area. Thanks-

did you call your insurance company and ask them which psychologist's are in your network? i hope you find someone! take care, jacqueline

I did call the insurance for providers and then when I called they tell me that the office practice is to collect first. I was hoping someone had then same experience and maybe knew of one that would not require payment up front. Thanks for your help and have a great day

thats weird... if its a covered service they dont normally do that. i went to aethina consolting in nashville, all they wanted was my co-pay.

I know I thought it was weird too. I tried Athena and they said that my insurance will only pay for half so they still want like $225 up front......I just don't have extra money like that right now. Oh well hopefully I will figure it out or I will find one that will take just my copay

Is this for the psych eval? I don't think insurance covers it. If it's not for the psych eval, I have a good therapist I see and she maybe covered under Aetna.
