did dr. OLSEN do your surgery or anyone you know?
Hi Melissa!
Dr. Houston, who is part of the centennial bariatric program along with Dr. Olsen and Dr. Dyer, performed my surgery. I have been thoroughly pleased with my experience through Centennial's program. I'm a little over 9 months out and have lost 152lbs from my highest weight of 366. At any rate, I had a little experience with Dr. Olsen. The weekend after my surgery I had what I thought was a problem at the time, but turned out to be nothing. Well, I called my surgeon's office which directed me to the doc who was on-call that weekend... Dr. Olsen. I left a message and within maybe 5 minutes, he returned my call. He was very reassuring and very pleasant to speak with...really calmed me down...assured me nothing was wrong and that it was normal to experience what I was experiencing.... I had some sharp pains and numbness going through my right thigh....it was just where I was strapped down to the table and a lot of pressure was placed on that major nerve that runs through there. I thought he would be rude and bothered that I was disturbing his weekend... but he was the absolute complete opposite.
Well, I know this isn't much information..but I would feel confident with any of the surgeons through Centennial. Good luck with everything! Let me know if you have any questions.

Dr. Olsen is my doctor. He was great throughout the surgery and has been super since then too. I've called the office with a couple of questions and instead of the office answering the question, Dr. Olsen will call me back and answer them. He is great and so is his office. I am extremely happy with my choice. I had laproscopic rouen-y GBS. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Congratulations on your choice for GBS.
