Ideas for pureed diet
Wendy's chili!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can get 3 or 4 meals out of a small cup. I put the whole thing in the Magic Bullet (or blender) and then heat up just the amount I knew I could eat. It doesn't turn into "baby food" consistency. It still has some texture to it and it tastes like "adult food".
I also pureed Campbell's Chunky Soups - again, still had some texture and tasted like adult food
chicken or tuna salad - this turns to more of a "pate" texture but I was able to move beyond that because it still tasted like it should - canned chicken or tuna; a dab of mayo (FF, LF or regular - your choice); I used pickle juice instead of the pickle relish; and a bit of onion powder
FF refried bean & cheese - I like to add a spoonful of enchilada sauce to make it just like Taco Bells Pintos & Cheese
Kroger Carb Master Yogurt - fewer carbs and more protein than regular SF yogurts
Kroger LF cottage cheese - no need to puree this
Things I did not like at this stage: scrambled eggs; baby foods
Experiment to see what your tastebuds and pouch will accept. Something that does or does not set well one day will do the opposite another day. If something doesn't work just wait a few days or weeks and try it again.

LOL! I got the magic bullet yesterday! And I have my Kitchen Aid hand mixer (or the boat motor as Emeril calls it). Is the Wendy's chilli too much for my stomach at this point? I've only had the surgery 9 days ago. I love scrambled eggs and this really helps adding some variety to my breakfast. What about cottage cheese? I know there may be some problems with lactose intolerance which I didn't have before. I need to get some yogurt. Does anyone know about the Yoplait's 99% fat free yogurts? I liked the key lime, fr. vanilla, lemon merangue, and orange cream before surgery. I also love soups but can I have the Campbell's Tomato or Creamy Tomato? Chicken and Stars? I loved those before surgery. Thanks!

Your new tummy may or may not like the chili at this stage. You may want to hold off for another week or two.
Scrambled egg, cottage cheese and yogurt are all good choices. If you discover a problem with lactose intolerance, you can add Lactaid. The yogurt will actually help with this because of the "good bacteria" it contains.
You can also have the soup but be aware that the tomato soups may have too much sugar for you now and may cause a dumping episode. Any of the broth based soups are good right now but your new tummy may not like the noodles, no matter how cute they are.
It sounds like you are doing very well! Keep it up!
