Hi everyone. Remeber me? I finally found a doc and I am scheduled to have my lapband surgery next Friday. I am extremly nervous. My fills are not included in the price. Does anyone know where I can get some some cheaper fills. Dr. Houston charges $500 thats a little more than I want to spend right now. I heard that there are some nurses that can do the fill.? All prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on getting your surgery date! I don't know anything about fills so I can't help you there. Pretty soon you'll be on the losing side. Again, congrats on your date, that was fast.

Who is your doc? I'm guessing it isn't someone in Nashville...how far away are they? Too far to travel for a fill? Have you talked with Dr. Morton at Southern Hills? He might do fills for you for less than $500.

My doctor is in San Diego CA. He worked out a plan with me because I am going to self pay. I called Dr. Morton at Southern Hills and he charges $550 for the 1st visit and $450 thereafter. I spent all day yesterday calling around and I found Dr. Olsen, he's close to downtown Nashville and he only charges $250. I think I'm going to go to him.

That's how much Dr. Houston charges me- I am a self pay too. Of course, Dr. Houston is my surgeon. On the LAP Band board someone else has used Dr. Melvin at Vandy. You might see how much he would charge. I am sorry you have to travel so far away for your surgery. Are you getting it at a much reduced cost?

I'm not really getting a reduced rate. It's just I worked out a payment plan directly with the doc. I couldnt get a loan from a finance company because I just bought a house and I guess I reached my max as far as loans go. It stinks I have to travel so far away but then again I am taking full advantage of my being in another city in a 5 star hotel with no kids!

Dr Olsen, DrHouston and Dyer(my doctor) are all Centennial surgeons working out of the same office at the Tace buliding in Nashville Dr Dyer charges 100.00 and the hospital across the street charges 150.00 for the use of their xrays, painshot ,and floro which is how it is done each time at Centennial for safety reasons( dont let the pain shot scare you it is just a quick ***** lol) all fills are done at the hosptial across the street so call and ask the girls at their office and get all the information there615-342-5830 of course I am partial to my Dr Dyer!! down 25 lb going for my 2nd fill on Jan12 hope to lose 25more!! Adriana, I have not had my surgery yet, but my surgeon is Dr. David Dyer, of Nashville. His office is located near Women's Centennial Hospital. Before I changed my mind from LapBand to Gastric Bypass, I was well informed about his prices for procedures. if memory serves, I would have only paid $250...it broke down to $100 for the surgeon and $150 for the radiologist. You may want to call his office and ask them any specific questions you may have about your fills. Dr. Dyer's office number is 342-5830, and ask to speak w/ Joanna Cox. Good luck! Amanda
