First follow-up today!

Hey guys, I've finally felt like getting back on here again. I went without pain meds for a couple of days when I really needed them so when I finally got a refill today....aaaaahhhhhh, HEAVEN!!!! I fell much better now. Dr.Houston said I was doing well, healing nicely but I got kind of fussed at about my protein intake. But....my wonderful angel sent me some of those bullets to try and they are going to be my lifesaver for the next five or so days until I hit the puree stage. I am craving cottage cheese so I can't wait for the purees to start. Got the shock of my life today...I have lost 21 pounds!!!! 21 pounds does not even seem a possibility but I saw it with my own eyes. Wow!!!! Well, I want to say thanks for all the support you guys are always so quick to give. I especially hope my angel is reading this...you rock sweet lady!!!!! And please thank your awesome hubby for me!

Wow, you've done awesome!! I hate that you had to do without the pain pills for a while, that's just counterproductive! I'm glad you're feeling better, and I'm impressed with your weight loss already!!! Love Dennie

Way to go Kym! 21lbs is awesome. I got fussed at too at my first follow-up with Dr. Houston. It is really hard getting protein in those first few days after surgery! Its good to see you back up and about. Don't push yourself too hard though. Take care, April

OMG! Kym, 21 lbs. in a week. Wow, that is too awesome. I can't even imagine Glad you are finally feeling some better. I guess 21 lbs. makes it bearable. I feel like I am in a nightmare. I still can't hear anything from my insurance. They signed for my paperwork Dec. 6th. I call twice a week. That wait of not knowing is the worse feeling. I am so glad you are on the losing side. Ask Dr. Houston if you can go on cottage cheese early. I had a very hard time getting protein in and he lifted the "ban" and let me have cottage chese.
