TN Lapbands?

Just wondering how many of the readers / posters have had the Lap Band? While reading through some post I notice the majority are RNY peeps! Nothing against RNY's ... I'm Just curious! I usually lurk around the band support boards but thought I would pop into Tennessee!

HI Jennifer.. I have had lap band surgery .there are more of us here in Tennessee but we post in the lap band forum here on OH .. some of us of us check in from time to time on the Tennessee board, our surgeries ,diets and problems are quite a bit different than RNY patients ,so for advice and support that is where we all post ..have met 2 other ladies in lap band forum that have my very same surgeon too!

I am a lapbander! 6 weeks out. Down 25 lbs. Had first fill last week and it went easy. I am a believer in the Lap Band Rules. LAP BAND RULES!

Dear Jennifer: I too, always, look in the Lap Band Forum. I had Lap Band surgery, Oct. 26th with Dr. Dyer at Centennial Medical Center. I go for my first fill, Friday. I have had some complications with vomiting, so, they put my fill off for a couple of weeks. Wouldn't you know it, I am having it done, the day, I am spending with family that night. And, the next day, I am going to Paducah, to spend with some of my husband's family. So, liquids again for me. I just got off of liquids again, due to my problems. I know, that I am going to have a hard time, with everyone eating around me. So far, I have done good, but looking at all of the Christmas goodies is going to be tough. I had lap band surgery on October 16th and I am down 38 pounds. Dr. Houston is my surgeon and I go for my second fill on the 12th of January. I usually post on the LAP-BAND forum, which is where most of us bandsters post.

Jennifer, I am another TN bandster. Like everyone else that has replied I usually stay on the lap-band message board. I also wanted to see if there were any bandsters on here. Amy
