Kym update
Stopped by the hospital this evening. A little more info on Kym's surgery. Dr. Houston said it was one of the toughest surgeries he has ever done. We believe that alot of digestion problems she has had in the past were because of these adhesions around her stomach and esophagus. So, needless to say, there is alot of pain involved. She has trouble holding the phone and remembering what and who she was talking to (gotta love that dilaudid). Her incision looks good and Dr. Houston said she will not have to go home with a drain.
I was so impressed and proud of her! She walked down the hall this morning. She was sitting up on the side of the bed tonite. She has good color and her despite her pain, her spirits are up. She is definitely one tough cookie!!!
She wants to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. She promises to get in touch as soon as she can. And when she can come off the dilaudid, she will talk more.
I told her we were polishing up her spot on the losers bench. That brought a definite smile. Just dont make her laugh, or payback will be hell!! LOL
