I last posted about five months ago. I am really discouraged. I was banded 6-1-06 and have only lost 62 pounds in six months. I am only losing 1 pound a week. Please give me words of encouragement. I know I don't need an adjustment, just words of encouragement if anyone out there can help.

Congrats to you Carol. Sweetie you are doing great. Please don't get discouraged. You can do this!! Just believe in yourself and try your hardest each day and you will succeed. Losing slower is good because it gives your skin time to catch up with the loss and you will not have as muchor mabye no hanging sagging skin. Keep up the good work. Also wanted to give you a big {{{ HUG }}} Smile!!

THANKS Juanita! I hope my doctor has as good an attitude. I'm alittle afraid to face him during the holidays. Anyway, you lifted by spirits - THANKS, Carol and thanks for the hug - I needed that!

You're doing great Carol.... especially with lapbad, that is awesome! Keep up the good work. If you're a little concerned, talk to your surgeon or nutritionist. They will also be able to soothe that discouragement!

Hi Carol, I think you are doing amazing! I know I never lost 62 pounds in 6 months with any other diets, have you? A slower loss is healthier anyway, I am super excited for you, and think your awesome!!! Have you tried to step up the walking/excerise? This might help! Hugs, Jacqueline

When was the last time you lost 10 lbs per month? You can't compare yourself with those of us who have had bypass, your losses with the lapband will be slower. But, you are losing and isn't the goal of every one of us? I think you are doing great! If you're really discouraged though, talk to your doctor or nut to see if there is something you need to change. Good luck! Susan

Hey Carol, from my point of view, I would say you are right on schedule with your weight loss. Just keep working the tool and you will continue to lose the weight. Be sure to walk more, and drink your fluids. But as a lapbander, I think you are doing far better, considering you are on a band. What other diet have you been that helped you lose 62 pounds in 6 months. Unless you had the gastric bypass, I would say there aren't any out that allows you to lose what you have. Keep your chin up, and be proud in yourself for sticking to this new tool. Love Kathy
