Not much sleep during a sleep study

So I had my sleep study last night and let's just say that I have no idea how they got any reading off me because I couldn't sleep with all those wires attached to me. I am glad it is over with though. That was the last test before my stuff is sent off to the insurance company. I guess this is the hard part, where all I can do is sit and wait for an answer. Thank You to so many of you that answered my first post. You guys made me feel right at home. I am so grateful to have people to talk to that are going through the same thing.

Hi Nicole, I hated my sleep study. I slept 22 min. total. I was afraid they would make me do another but nothing was ever mentioned. Another girl I know said she didn't sleep either. I am waiting to hear from my in. It has been 2 weeks. (BCBS of TN) I called Mon. & they said they don't even have my request in the system yet. It is driving me crazy not knowing. Hated my sleep studies. Had two, the 2nd one I asked and was given permission to take a sleeping aid. It helped some. Not looking forward to another but only way I guess to get off the CPAP machine. Good luck to you both! Lester

you should have asked for a sleeping pill. they gave me one, and i ripped the wires off three times and they have to fix it, and i didnt even wake up once! lol. i know the waiting is very difficult, but hopefully they will give you a quick yes!

I tried to get them to give me something but they wouldn't. I guess all places are different. Yeah well it was the last test before an approval so I was willing to stay awake for a week if necessary.
