Home and Doing Well

My surgery went very well. I've only had one problem and that was with the drain tubes; they were hitting nerves in my stomach and causing spasms which caused more pain. So Dr. Olsen took both of them out. You're suppose to go home with one, but mine were too painful so he took both of them out the day I left the hospital. At home I'm doing really well, getting in my walks, my fluids, and protein shakes. Thanks goes out to all who prayed for me and especially to Kym who was my angel and posted for me, and spoke to my husband in the waiting room at the hospital. Thanks again to all.

Glad to hear you're doing well. You wont recognize yourself when you go by a mirror before you know it. Where is Summertown? Beth B. in Chattanooga

Hey Robin, did the hospital give you my message on Wednesday? I called and asked that they let you know to call me if you needed anything. I was just getting ready to call you at home tonight when I saw your post! I'm so glad you are doing well. Your family seemed so sweet and your husband obviously loves you a lot!

Welcome to the loser's bench! I didn't have any drains at all following my surgery. My surgeon doesn't always use them. I never had any problem post-op and I pray you do the same. Sounds like you are off to a great start. Susan

Congrads Robin for doing so well. I left with one drain tube in for 5 days, then it came out. I've had no problems from the surgery just from my chemo mixed with the surgery like my potassium. I wish you well and welcome to our bench. Love Kathy
