I am 7 weeks out and today I really am craving something sweet. Any suggestions. I am afraid of dumping. I am sick of applesauce! What about no sugar added ice cream. Is this ok?

NSA ice cream is very high in fats and you might dump on that as well. Try some NSA frozen fruit bars. You can get them at Kroger and they are quite good.

I am six months out and I had some of my hubby's no sugar added ice cream.... talk about SICK! I had the worst tummy ache, I couldnt believe something I used to love so much, could make me so sick now, lol! Have you had a no sugar added fudge bar, kroger brand is good. They were on the list from my surgen. Or what about sugar free pudding. If you aren't lazy like me they have hecka different flavors in the boxes. But I just grab the pre-made ones in the cups. Hmmm.... this is all I can think of! Hope something sounds good! Hugs, Jacqueline

I made koolaid freezies with splenda at that point in my journey. HAve you got a good blender. Blend away-sweet tooth satisfied. Or if you can "stomach " it frozen splenda lemonade. YUMMM!

Remember you haven't been out that long. So stick to sf popsicles, sf jello, sf pudding, you can get both in the dairy section in 12 little cups to a package at Walmarts. I keep them on hand. But stop and ask yourself, am I hungry or is it head hunger, because 90% of the surgeons refer to this as snacking and they really don't want you to snack inbetween meals. But I would have the jello or the sf pudding in the evening as I have to have something on my stomach when I take my chemo pills or get very sick. What your body is doing is coming off the carbs and there's where you get the craving from. Best of wishes. Love Kathy

Delynn, Stay strong to your list and listen to what the posters are saying. I practically live on SF popsicles - and they count as a liquid too! 4Bengals

Delynn McCash, Hey, try drinking welsh's grape juice or apple juice. Or better yet get a tablespoon of creamy peanut butter. Put it in your mouth and let your spit liquidfy it. It helps with the cravings and it gets in some protien that is not a shake. Sorry I am just now writing you. I have been really busy lately. Feel free to write me. we are out about the same time too.
