What Protein Powders Are Ya'll using?

Hey Everyone!!!! I have decieded that all the flavored protein drinks are yuck.... What do you guys use. I was thinking of just trying to make my own shakes with unflavored protein. I don't know I am sick of this!!! Hugs, Jacqueline

In powders, I use: Designer Whey, flavored - strawberry; chocolate; french vanilla; chocolate peanut caramel Any Whey, unflavored - this doesn't clump in warm liquids and is truly flavorless Unjury - I've tried the unflavored and chocolate. Both were very good. The only premixed I've found that I can tolerate is EAS AdvantEdge shakes. I LOVE the Cafe Caramel Coffee House flavor (but then, I am a coffee NUT). I also like the Chocolate Fudge and Strawberry Cream to keep on hand for a quick 'grab & go'. I don't usually drink my powders plain, I "doctor" them with fruit or SF Da Vinci Syrup. The strawberry, chocolate and chocolate peanut caramel I CAN drink plain. The French Vanilla, I use as a base for more exotic shakes like pumpkin pie and egg nog (my current favorite). Are you coming to the get together next Saturday? If so I can bring you some samples so you can try the Designer Whey. Susan

Susan, where do you get Any Whey? I haven't heard of this one...is it cheaper than unflavored Unjury? I also bought several bottles of sf DaVinci but the site I bought on didn't have a large variety of flavors. I was able to get the 32 ounce bottles for just $5.99 but only coconut, french vanilla, and caramel. Where can I get the other ones...is there a pumpkin one?

I get the Any Whey at GNC. I'm a Gold Club member so I get 20% off the first week of each month. It's time for me to restock my Any Whey. That's a great price for DV syrup. Too bad they don't carry a bigger selection. I get my syrups at It's All Sugar Free in Antioch. They also have a website - www.itsallsugarfree.com and they will ship. There is not a pumpkin one. They did tell me there is a Pumpkin Spice one but they didn't get any in their shipment. Their 32 oz bottles are $9.99. For the pumpkin protein shake I use canned pumpkin puree: 6 oz crushed ice/water combo 1 1/2 scoops protein powder - I use either French Vanilla or unflavored 1/2 c pumpkin puree 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 2-3 packets Spenda - to taste 1/4 tsp vanilla extract Whirl in the Magic Bullet until frothy. If it's too thick, you can omit the ice and just use cold water.

I have found several that I really like. Protein Delite Alpine Chocolate or Chocolate Coconut is great with a little water, half and half, and a chunk of frozen banana. I also like the IDS vanilla cinnamon. I mix it with yogurt. I also like the Nectar Carribean cooler flavor. I mix it with water, half and half (or yogurt) banana chunk, and davinci syrup rum flavored. Tastes like a pina colada! I have experimented alot!! I add stuff and try to change texture (my big problem). Of the pre mixed, I LOVE Achieve one. I also can tolerate the profect and new whey for something quick and small (3 oz). Sometimes I mix it with crystal light. Good luck, and let me know if I can help in any way! Paula

Hey Kym, Yeah I saw it and printed out a copy, because it sounded YUM! Are you coming to the get together, because I know your pre-op and I wanted to know if you could use a bunch of protein samples, I'll bring them in case you do. Also since you will be shrinking shortly I have a ton of stuff from lane bryant that I have been saying, if you could use it. Or if anyone else wants it just let me know! Jacqueline

I had a RNY on Monday so I 'm still wayyyy new at this stuff but I LOVE Isopure!! with crystal lite. Unjury, unflavored, was NOT unflavored to me! I made hi pro jello , tried in crystal lite, tried it in broth and CRIED everytime I had to put it in my mouth. I found it gag-arific. I'll try it again when I can mix it into something with more substance. When I go to Dr. Houston on Thursday mornin and get to go to "full liquids" does that just mean vanilla and chocolate AdvantEDGE ready mades? plus my isopure ???? what were you all told?? also..I ordered a sample of every flavor of Nectar from WLSSupplies.com and paid less than $2 for each. can't wait to try
