Time for an Angel?
Hi Kym, you can ask anyone that is in the area of your surgeon or the hospital to be your angel. Just ask them. It's never to late. Some don't have one as they have someone posting for them from home. My angel wasn't able to contact me as she couldn't call in after 9pm, but my son and daughter-n-love wrote messages thanking everyone for supporting me, and giving up dates on me. Who is your surgeon and what hospital will you be at? I haven't read your profile so I don't know.
You're in my prayers, Kathy
Hey,girl. Give me a list of job responsibilities and I am THERE! Altho, me with a halo is a little bit humorous. My horns show way too much.
I am here for you regardless! Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. What is the date and exact time. I want to get you on my church prayer list. I am sooooo excited for you! I also have more clothes for you. I am holding on to stuff I shrink out of JUST FOR YOU!!!!
I am saving room for you on the losers bench!

Paula!!! I'm so glad you will be my angel!
I tell you, after last week with all the drama and death, I am so glad to be finally dragging myself out of the funk I've been in these past couple of weeks...I am back to being excited. I got my email from OH about how to succeed in surgery and about how if I haven't been questioning my decision I would...well, that happended a couple of days ago. I was thinking, "What am I doing? Is this the best idea?" It lasted about two days and know I'm back to "YEAH
YEAH!" again.
When I make it through this coming Tuesday, I'll be home free. I have one 10-15 page paper to write, one take home final with 4 small essays to do, and one research proposal to complete that I have been working on all semester so that one is not so bad. I just finished the methodology section on that one and just have to combine it all and add a few more lit reviews and it will be done. I have until the 12th for that one but I will get it done and it before surgery. Whew...then I'll be done until next semester! I am turning it all in on the 5th. Then I have a Girl Scout Brownie troop Christmas party on the 7th but I'm actually looking forward to that! I'm such a big kid!
Job duties, hhhhmmmmmhhhh, be at my beck and call, be my gopher...HAHAHA
, just joking...that's what my hubby will do! Seriously, I think an angel will just check on me, update the boards on how I am, and if you are able to, print my surgery card off with all the well wishes and take it to the hospital with you. But I tried to do this for Robin and I couldn't figure it out so I'm not sure about that one.
I am sure glad you are saving clothes
...just out of curiosity, Eddie and I went into the goodwill to check out prices and even there....MAN!!!!
I foresee lots of hand me downs, yard sales, and learning to sew! LOL!
Are you going to come to the get together on the 9th? I am going to try to save enough up to just come up and spend two nights before surgery up there so I can come and not have to make the drive twice.
Oh, I may have to borrow your devil horns before it's over with...or so I've heard.
I hear Eddie is going to be really loooovvvvvviiiinnnnnggggg me before it's over!
Oh, the surgery is on the 11th at 7:30am at Centennial Womens on Murphy Ave. on the third floor. Maybe I'll be awake enough to recognize you when you come!

Hi Kym, I'm glad you got an angel. On your surgical page, people can write you a message, and it can be sent right to the hospital and the nurses can print it out for you.
I have all the testing supplies boxed up and ready for the post office. I may have the needles mixed up as I have two different machines. I was going to send them off yesterday but had to have my throat dialated as I keep choking on foods and fluids. It was fine right after he did the procedure, last night and today it's doing the same thing again. They are either going to have to remove the calcified lymph nodes that are pressing on my throat or have them shrunk with radiology. I will see my oncologist on Tuesday and will find out. I will get the 2 boxes mailed out either on Monday or Tueday. I will let you know when to expect them.
I can't wait until you are on the losers bench. Your seat is being kept warmed for you. Love ya, Kathy
Kisses for you dear friend, you are too sweet! My mom just had her throat dilated and she felt so much better but they had to do hers twice so hopefully that is all it will take. By the way, when are you coming to Portland again? It will only be a couple of weeks after my surgery if I am thinking right but if I am feeling okay, I may try to make it up to Red Boiling Springs. If I do, maybe you could come over and we could meet up. Portland is only about 45 minutes away if memory serves. I have something for you so if we don't get to meet, I will send it to you. I'm not telling you what it is, it's a surprise!
Keep that seat warm, girl, it won't be long!!!!!
Love ya, Kym
Oh, by the way, you never told me about the apartment...what happened?
