On my first countdown.....
Just checking in to say HI! I'm still in the six month medically supervised "diet"! I'm on the countdown to January 13 when they can submit my paperwork to insurance! Whew, this six months has gone by quickly but yet has drug by. I've learned so much, some very painful but I know now what I have to do to get myself ready to surgery. I working on the "head hunger" versus the real hunger thing. WOW I realized that I'm not always as hungry as I think I am!
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I had a really nice and quiet one. We went to my inlaws in KY. My MIL and I both cooked. My husband and I are both only children but have 3 kids of our own. My parents have passed away so it was just his parents, us and our three kids. We had a good time though
A friend of mine died in her sleep last week. She was only 36y/o with 2 precious little boys who she and her husband adopted. They don't know the cause of death yet. She was healthy or at least we think so. She had had WLS a couple of years ago and has done really well. It is so sad!
Well just checking in with everyone! Have a good weekend!
Janie
Sorry to hear of your loss Janie, especially at such a young age and during the holidays. That is certainly tough.
As for the six month diet, you're almost done.. there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I certainly know how you feel. It seems like it drags on but it goes by quicker than you imagine. Before you know it you'll be on the "losing side" of life
Take care,
April

Hi Janie, I am truly sorry about the death of your friend. Do they know what caused it?
You have just a little over a month to finish up on the diet. Knowing what is head hunger and real hunger will really help you after surgery. I sincerely wish you all the best in the coming new year.
May God travel with you on this new journey. Love Kathy
