Hello everyone!! This is my first time posting here. I am two weeks out from RNY and my husband just had his surgery this last Monday. He had a harder time than I did and I am trying to help him through his first stage. He seems to have a lot of nervousness. He's not dehydrated- getting in fluids and outputting okay. Did anyone else have this??? He is usually satisfied watching a movie or something but I can't seem to find anything to keep him occupied. He is very restless and even when he is sitting he is moving his feet. I know we are supposed to get more energy and metabolism changes but I haven't heard of anyone having anything the first week. He was rather restless in the hospital too but I thought it was just because he wanted to come home. HELP!!

Becky, I accidentally dialed your number Tuesday night thinking it was my friends number. I don't know why I said that but I just thought of it lol. It is probably the effects of the anesthesia Becky. My grandfather had his appendix out a few weeks ago and he was "as wild as a monkey" in my mamaw's words lol. He couldn't sit still and even while lying down was moving his hands and feet. They only other time he's been this way is when he had his open heart surgery. His PCP told them that it was anesthesia working it's way out of him and some people just get that way. If it is bothering you and your worried about it maybe you should call Sarah and ask about it. I had to call her the other night in tears with a pain so I know she's very nice late at night lol. She told me that she has the phone all weekend. Feel free to call me if you need to talk. I'm going to Wal Mart at 3am tomorrow but will be home by noon and then for the rest of the weekend I'll be home. Hope this helps, Janie

Janie, Found out it was an allergic reaction to the Reglan. I got online and saw where jitteriness, anxiety, muscle spasms (which he had also had a few of) were reactions. We just stopped it last night and called Sarah this morning. I hated to call her on Thanksgiving!! He feels much better today so that is good. Thanks for your help!!!

Oh my goodness!! I can't believe I didn't think of that! I am allergic to Reglan. Did I tell you that before? anyways, when I was pregnant with my little girl it gave me horrible anxiety attacks. I'm just a dolt. Well, I'm glad that Sarah could figure it out for you and get it fixed. That stuff runs all over me that's why I can't believe that I didn't think of it. Maybe I was blocking it out lol. Janie
