Hi Susan, I'll be in the Nashville area on Dec. 21 until the 2nd of the month. What's this about the ice at Opryland? I have never heard of it, and that's something I would love to do with my grandsons. I'm sure my skinny butt will fit. I did something earlier and it felt great. I was trying to hook up the vonage system to my DSL and phone all the cords were behind the desk and the love seat. I actually was able to get thru the two pieces of furniture and didn't have to suck in the gut. There was about 7" between the two pieces of furniture. That really excited me. Have a great holiday. Don't over do it. Love ya, Kathy

Kathy, Go to http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylordopryland/events/ICE.cfm and you will be able to get the details about ICE! Tickets are $15.75 for adults but I had a coupon that gave us $2 off each of our tickets. Also, they take your family group picture as soon as you get your parka's on and the pics are for sale in the gift shop. Like I said before, take gloves/mittens & a hat. It is 12 degrees in there so even with the extra parka it's cold. It's worth the trip though. Take your camera! Isn't it great to be able to fit in those skinny places?! I have never been the little one in my family until now. I'm lovin' it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great Thanksgiving! Susan

I find new things everyday that used to be a challenge aren't anymore. I love the skinny places, don't have to suck in the gut and in a public place you can get by someone who's hogging up the aisle without having to say excuse me all the time. I was the little one in the family, in 1974 I weighed 102 lbs at the age of 21 when I went into the Navy. So I haven't always had a weight problem. I know both sides of the weight problem what it's like to be treated without respect because of my weight and the turn around after losing it. I am going to try and down load my senior picture and navy picture plus one where I was 299 this time 2 years ago. Then you can be the judge. Love ya, and thanks for the info. Happy Thanksgiving, Kathy

My best bud and I went to Opryland years ago and saw the lights but I have never seen the ice. I have to come up on the 27th, Monday, and have my pre-ops done so I am going to try and get over there. Robin K. is having her surgery that day so I am going to check on her and then post to everyone how she is but then I'll have some time. I am almost done with my semester's work with the exception of one paper and then I'll be able to breathe and concentrate on recovery after the 11th. Kathy and Susan, I am having a similar problem with my mom in law. She is very critical of my weight and has even told my hubby he could do better. Now I have found out that she is doing it too my daughter. She never does it with me in the room but she is vicious. I have chosen not to tell her about surgery. As for my mom, she is very ill and sometimes is not all there. When she is though, she is a pistol. She had a similar conversation with my uncle and told him I was having surgery. I heard her say, "Oh, her, well yeah, she lost weight but she did it the easy way...she took diet pills and dieted...anyone can do that and put it all back on. Kym is changing her entire life, not that's hard!" I was so happy I wanted to cry. My mom had a bad spell today. I think I am going to post for prayers.

Susan, The Ice show is very cool. I took my kids one year and they loved it! I always take them to see the lights at Opryland every year which they really enjoy. Hon don't let your mother get you down. It's not like you have never tried a regular diet and had "willpower" to do so before right? Guess what, it almost always comes back with a few xtra pounds on top of it. You did what you felt was best for you and you should be proud of that!
