HELP LAP BAND POST OPS!!!!!
Hi Kathie, sounds like either you are eating too fast, and not chewing everything to a pulp before swollowing or you may need to see your surgeon as you may have a restriction causing you to be sick. I would let your surgeon know what is going on, he may need to have a scope done on you to see what is causing the problem. I'm not a dr. I just play one but we're talking serious here, as you dehyrate real fast. Let him know, it could also be where your taste buds may be changing and causing the problems. Start writing down everything you eat, how much it weighs, and when you are sick, a diary to show your Dr. There may be a pattern that you may not realize is going on inside of you. I love eggs especially omelets, and my tuna salad, just the smell and I am throwing up that fast. Drinking tap water never bothered me especially if it was in the fridge, now I carry my own spring water with me every where even if I'm eating out. I tried several different brands, and found Deer Park water was the only one that didn't make me sick. I also discovered that if I take my medications with anything but milk I will throw up. I can count on it happening within just minutes after swallowing. But for the first 6 weeks your surgeon needs to know everything that is going on, as he may have to go back in and do something.
Call his office and let them be aware of what is going on. Do it when the office opens up in a few hours. Better safe then sorry. I'll be praying for you. Love Kathy
Hey Kathie, I just read your post on the Centennial board and I am so sorry you are having such a bad experience with the office staff. I am using Dr. Houston and so far have only had contact with Andrea and Holly, Tonya was my financial counselor, and they have been wonderful...a little hard to get on the phone but great in person. I just wonder if they realize how they are coming across to patients...they may change their behavior if they knew! I am glad your PCP is so awesome...mine is good but he has pretty much told me that after surgery I should expect to see Dr. Houston for most of my needs. That's a little scary!
But I hope things get better for you and very quickly! I'll be thinking of you and praying for a speedy recovery and renewed joy!
