Have you talked about this to Dr.Colquitt? He was my surgeon also. Have you started on your B-12 yet? What about your chewable complete vitamins? Also remember that your body just had a major shock to it when you had surgery, I know even with the RNY I was weak and rested a lot for the first two weeks. Then I started my vitamins (flintstones are chewable if you want broken teeth and they taste awful) (try the gummy type at Walmarts, better tasting) and B-12 injections and that helped with the weakness. Don't forget you want to walk as much as possible so that you don't get clots in your legs. Talk to our surgeon, he may have you start on your vitamins, B-12's, but let him know how you are feeling. It's important that he be made aware of things especially after just having surgery. May God be with you are you recover and lose the weight. Kathy

Dana I had the Lap Band. I did get weak a couple of days post op...and figured out it was because i wasnt getting enough water down. Up your water intake and see if that helps. I still can tell the difference in my body if i dont get the adequate amount of water in. Drink, Drink Drink tha****er. Good luck!

My recovery after lap band surgery was very quick. I drove a couple of days after being released from the hospital, and I went back to work after a week. Once you start consuming some more carbs, you will begin to get some energy. Was your procedure laproscopic or open? I still had port pain for about 3 weeks post op, but that was only if I did something that I was not supposed to do (ie. lift my son). You will start feeling more up to par soon. Remember to get plenty of rest, drink H2O, and walk. You life will get back to normal soon enough. I am one month and one week out and besides the surgical scars, I have no signs of surgery. Good luck! You will start seeing results soon.
