What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Good morning, everyone!
I'm checked out and waiting to head to the airport. My flight is at 1:00, so I'm on the 10:30 shuttle. I should get home around 4:30. All in all a pretty easy day.
I will go into the office tomorrow and Friday and swim Friday morning. Marilyn reminded me that we have tickets to A Christmas Carol for Saturday night. That should be fun going into Chicago.
Marilyn found a dress for our work Christmas party in a couple of weeks. I think it looks very nice. I asked her if she found shoes and she hadn't. Since the last ones went in the trash, she better get looking.
QOTD: In Massachusetts, the high school football teams play on Thanksgiving Day. So Thanksgiving Day 1983 was my last football game.

Good morning Jen and Menuers,
I am so grateful you stepped up and our starting the thread. So sweet of you. I can see why that pizza was a choice of yours. It looks delicious. We have a place called The Get Go. It is part of the Giant Eagle line of grocery stores, and you can get gas and is a convivence store. It has a made to order section where you can order salad drinks and subs. This time of year, they have the Pilgrim, and it is very popular. The hoagie bun is made to taste like stuffing and they put any fixins in you want. I think it comes with Turkey potatoes gravy and cranberry and cheese if I am not mistaken. I had it once pre surgery and it was ok. I really want to try another, but I have refrained for the last 6 years I am going to try to ignore it again this year. I went shopping yesterday afternoon and found a dress that is right up my alley. I apologize for posting pictures mid-week but I want you to see if and let me know your thoughts. Ron is not a fan BTW. I could not wait to put it on and wear it to work.
QOTD: I remember one year having older cousins in from out of town and I woke up so hung over from partying the night before that I went outside in my PJ's and laid face down in the snow to do a snow angel to get relief from my throbbing head and my parents were not too happy.

I don't know if it's because my nausea is so bad and that I'm not hungry but I've lost 6.5 lbs in the last couple of weeks. I'm still 14 lbs from where I would like to be. But at least I'm going the right direction.
I have a bone density scan today so I'll see what that tells me.
The wind storm missed my area and hit northern Washington. There are 400,000 people without power and the rains are coming from the storm.
My roommate isn't working because I-5 in the Siskiyous between the CA border and almost Ashland. The truck from CA couldn't get through so he gets a day off. He usually goes from Portland to Halsey and trades trailers with the truck coming from CA but no truck is there. The guy is stuck in Redding.
My co-worker in ID has snow, it's supposed to snow all day and possibly turn to rain later. At least you don't have to shovel rain. Right now the sun has peeked out and it is really bright out there.
I don't know what I'm going to do for thanksgiving, probably spend it alone. I don't eat turkey, and it's just me and my Mom. Someone usually brings turkey dinner to my Mom.
Have a great day everyone!

Hey gang. Nothing very interesting going on here. More Thanksgiving prep. Lots of little projects going on at once.
I'm astounded by the amount of wildlife here. We had nothing but squirrels when I was a kid. Now there are deer, possum, skunks. I saw a fox walking up the street a couple of years ago, and there are bears everywhere. Nearby towns have coyotes snatching pets.
And a million turkeys! We've had flocks in our yard.
QOTD: I can't remember any specific Thanksgiving memories. Just a big meal, the six of us and usually our grandmother.
