Approved for Dark Meat Turkey, Just in Time for Easter

Next Monday will be 8 weeks and the doc said I could try moist, dark meat turkey.  Most stores don't sell turkey parts separately they way they do chicken, and if I cook up a whole turkey it will take me 17 years to eat it!

But during holiday time (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) they do.  I found turkey legs and thighs sold separately yesterday and bought enough to fill my freezer.  Going to give it a try on Easter... sure hope I can tolerate it well.

Anyway, just a tip for those just approved for turkey - this is a good way to cook your own without having to bake a whole bird.

A turkey thigh is a good idea... love turkey. If you have a Trader Joe's near you I just discovered they have thick sliced Turkey Breast (Not like deli meat) near the hummus and dips and stuff. It was great and very moist. Moist is the key...
