Roll call: those done losing but NOT in a single-digit size (re-post)
EDIT: I am "bumping" this old post... mostly because *I* needed to read it again after starting to feel crappy about my "after" size after reading a couple of posts here this weekend. I needed to remind myself that NOT everyone ends up a single digit size and that clothing size is NOT what defines WLS "success"! So I thought some of the really new people might need to read it, too.
There is sometimes SO much emphasis here on scale, clothing, goal weight, and BMI numbers... sometimes at the expense of emphasizing health, IMO... and I think newbies can get a false impression of what consitutes "success" and maintenance weight reality (just as they can get a false impression of how many people have vomiting and nausea and stricture isssues early post-op, since thsoe are the new post-ops who tend to post the most), so...
Those of you who are done losing (I'll let you all decide if you qualify as "done losing", but no one less than 9 months out need reply, because you are NOT done, LOL!) and are NOT a size 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8... it's time for a reality-check roll call!
Post your size. (Feel free to provide whatever other stats you would like (height/weight, BMI, body fat %) ...) Help me show some of the new folks that "success" is NOT determined by being a size 6!!

14 years out; 190 pounds lost, 165 pound loss maintained
You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I started at:
- size 26/28 (4XL)
- 330+ pounds
- 57 BMI
I am now (will be 4 years post-op next month):
- size 10/12 (M) bottoms and 12/14 (M or L) tops (I still have DD/DDD boobs!))
- 145 - 150 pounds
- 24-25 BMI (right on the line between "normal" and "overweight" (BMI chart can kiss my ass!))
- 25% body fat (in the center of the "optimal health" range for a woman of my age (48)
I am not a single-digit size, but I am a RNY success!

I have ONE pair of pants that are size 8, the rest are all size 10
I started at a BMI of 60
Weight 350
size 26/28 TIGHT
My BMI is 26.7 right now
My weight is 154 as of this morning, which is my exact goal
I wear a size medium in things that come in small, medium, large
Sometimes the mediums don't have large enough arms for my batwing affliction
In the fall I might get down to a size 8 if the last two falls are any indicator. I usually lose ten to twenty pounds at the beginning of the new school year..... five to ten of those are what I regain in a month of slothfullness before school starts up.

~Lady Lithia~ 200 lbs lost!
March 9, 2011 - Coccygectomy!
I chased my dreams, and my dreams, they caught me!
I had my surgery on 5.25.10, so I am almost 1 year out.
I am 5'9' --so height does help spread the weight out and make you look thinner!!!
Age: 41
started at 300 pounds in a size 22/24-26/28
Currently at 187 pounds and range between a 12-14 pants and Large shirts sometimes Medium
I would like to get down to 165 pounds--but if I don't I am soooo happy where I currently am. I haven't been this size in over 25 years!!!!

I'm almost a year out, and while I don't think I'm completely done losing, I don't expect to lose a lot more. If I got down to a single digit size, I'd look deathly ill. I would like to get to normal BMI, which would mean losing 10 more pounds.
I started at:
400 pounds
size 26 or 28, or 5XL
BMI 57.4
now
185 pounds
size 10 or 12
BMI 26.5, so still in the overweight category
Most important to me, I feel strong and healthy and full of energy.
