low lying placenta
At my 20 week appt, my doctor said my placenta was low. He said he would check again on Aug 27th (I'll be over 29 weeks) and decided if I will be having a c-section. He said it can move up on its own.
I desperately DO NOT want a c-section! Anyone else gotten this type of news and had their placenta move up and have a vaginal birth?
I do feel like my baby boy is pretty low, but that doesn't have anything to do with where the placenta is in the uterus does it? sorry...clueless...
And, I understand there is nothing I can do about this right? Like standing on my head...LOL
thanks,
Kina

Exact same thing happened to me. At my 20 week ultrasound I had marginal placenta previa so they re-checked at 28 weeks and it had moved well out of the way. In 90% of cases, it moves. I was terrified of it too but I went on to have a vaginal delivery. The good news is, you get to have another ultrasound!
