OT-condoms

ok my DH is convinced pregnancy happens often even with a condom sooooo has anyone gotten pregnant with one or know someone who has??? Thanks!

If you don't use them every time of course your chance of getting pregnant is higher but we use them every time and I feel very confident that I won't get pregnant again. TMI but we didn't use a condom while on vacation because I didn't think we were going to do anything. That is how we got Riley. 2.5 years of using condoms and one or two times without and we have Riley.

Ok so I don't belong on this board at all, just love to lurk and see all the precious babies.  

With that being said, let me share my story with condoms.  I took fertility pills with my two older kids and was on birth control when I was not trying to conceive because of bad painful periods if and when I would have one.  Had severe female issues from the time I first started having my periods.  Anyways I skipped a month of b/c pills because I had gotten sick and missed a couple of days, so we used a condom every time we did the deed.  Lo and behold my third child was conceived.   Talk about a surprise to everyone.  When I went to my OB he opened the door and said your pregnant and then shut the door.  Opened it again and said your pregnant and I didn't help this time, how did that happen?  My husband asked how it happened too.  Trust me I asked myself how it happened.  

I was always one of those that thought accidents don't happen you were careless.  Well, I ate my words but I'd eat them any day cause my baby at 15 has brought a lot of laughter into my life and as much as I didn't want another child he filled the place of my dad who was diagnosed with cancer when I was 7 months pregnant.  He cried when he was diagnosed because he didn't think he would live long enough to see this baby and honestly when I told him through my tears that I was expecting  he was more excited over that pregnancy than my other two or over the other 10 grandchildren he already had.  I think the good Lord played a big hand in his conception. 

We were using condoms when we got pregnant with Noah.   The thing with using condoms is you have to use them every time lol!    We didn't wear one just a couple of days after my period ended.  I always ovulate on day 17 or 18, so there was NO way I could pregnant.
Noah is sleeping in the swing as I type....so yes there was a way I could get pregnant lol!

 That's what DH and I are using now because I am BF'ing Bella. Dr said if they are used correctly its very effective! She said you can also add spermicide but it gives me yeast infections. TMI! I am sure as with every other form of BC if not used properly you can always get pregnant.

OK....I might be one in a million....but I am pregnant with a baby that was conceived while I was on birth control and we were using condoms.

I truly believe this little one was meant to be!!!!

Here is the TMI that is necessary for condoms... AS SOON AS IF NOT JUST BEFORE "HE GOES" you have to get him and the condom in tacked away from the goaly!!!!   ideally somewhere near half court is best!!! LOL

I was on the pill and we used condoms religiously for the first 2 years post op RNY....  I then went off the pill cause they made me more yeasty then I could stand... and cranky then my husband could stand... we stayed with condoms and the above mentioned technique...   it worked for us...

And to my surprise the first time WE EVER did the deed with out any protection, with the goal of trying our luck... I got preggers...

This said... For us... it was a good method of BC... but you cant be sloppy about when you are vigilant... and being creative about the finish helps lesson the mood distress said option often entails...
