Strange pain

So,
I have already put a call into my Dr., followed her advice, and I am still a little confused. I was woken up about 4 am with a persistant pelvic ache. It was pretty intense, but I have had this at night before and I think it is due to how I am positioned while sleeping, so I thought nothing of it. I got up and went to work, and the pelvic pain was still there. It's like a tightening really low- I'm not sure how to explain it. It's not a contraction per se, because it's more constant. Anyway, I started getting a ton of Braxton Hicks really low in the same area, so that's when I came home and called. The Dr. suggested a bath, and I took one (I dislike baths) and had four Bh's while in the water, the muscles still feeling tight. So then she said after the bath to lie down for an hour and count the contractions before heading to L&D if they didn't improve. So, I did, and the Bh's tapered off- just maybe three an hour or so. But I still have the tight feeling. What are your thoughts? I'm not sure what it is. I did take Tylenol and nothing happened, but I'm not sure if maybe it's a type of ligament pain? It runs right below in the groin- sorry if TMI. The boys have both been really active today, so I am not worried about them. Thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like maybe some muscle strain... I had some of this, too. But, I had no BH with it. Called my Dr. and he said to rest and take some tylenol (which didn't really help). The rest helped, and within a few days felt tons better.
I had ligament pain with my first son, in the groin area, and that is a similar pain.
Sorry your dealing with this!!

Having never been pregnant w/twins...I'm pulling this out of nowhere...but is it possible muscle strain from the extra stretching going on?  Have you tried one of those belly belt things for pregnant moms...the one that goes under your belly and fits over your shoulders sort of like a very low cut tank top?  I know other people have mentioned 'belly belts' on here - someone might chime in and give you a good recommendation for one?

When you sleep at night, do you put a pillow under your belly so you're belly's not 'sagging' to one side of the other and it has some support?  That'd give the muscles some 'rest' after spending all day supporting your little guys.  I'd say even if you sleep on your back, put a pillow on each side of you, a little under the sides of your belly and up the sides a little to support the sides give your muslces a chance to rest.  I've seen a 'pregnancy pillow' that's like a huge 'U' shape that your head goes in the bottom of the U and your back and belly go between the legs of the 'U' if you're laying on your side...maybe something like that would help?

Sorry...I know I'm probably 'rambling,' but hoping I'm making sense from my un-medically trained two cents opinion!
