Anatomical Ultrasound.......It's a....
GIRL!!! OK, the tech wasn't 100% sure, but she said she was sure enough that we should exchange the blue things that we have.
She said the baby looked good, all measurements were where they should be and that I'm in trouble when I start feeling movement because this baby is the most active baby she has seen in 15 years of doing this.
Even with all my health issues, the pregnancy itself and the baby are going well. The OB even said I was borderline boring. I've some small things come up, but al in all he said he hopes the next 19 weeks and 4 days should be as uneventful.
I'm not sure how the BF feels about a girl.....he was so excited to see the baby and said he wasn't disappointed about the gender, but after the appointment he didn't want to tell everyone the gender because the tech wasn't sure. I know he wanted a boy and we have been calling this bump Pavan for 12 weeks, so it is kind of strange to think that Pavan is gone, but he has daddy's little girl to look forward to........If he is disappointed, will he get over it??? or maybe he is just overwhelmed??
Anyway......I could go on for hours, but I will say thanks for listening!! Happy and Healthy babies to everyone!!
Hugs,
Sandy

Congrats on the girl! I love my little girl- I wanted a tleast one of the twins I'm carrying now to be a girl- no such luck.
I think men in different cultures especially have a harder time with the thought of a girl- my husband is also from a different culture, and he had a really, and I mean really hard time with the thought of a girl- he didn't really start to bond with her until months after she was born- and I would say it took over a year for a really strong bond to form. It was hard on me too- I was happy about having a girl, but I also wanted her to be a daddy's girl, which can't happen if Daddy isn't involved- but we all made it through and now he watches her and works a swing shift so she doesn't have to go to daycare. It's great. They also recently took an international trip together to meet my husband's family for a few weeks- without Mommy! And they are closer than ever. Hopefully things will get better. If they don't, you can always come here. I understand what that feels like!
Talk about a boring pregnancy- I am having twins and have had a model pregnancy- at 32 weeks I am still doing great- my OB is bored by that too! But, it's good in a lot of ways, as I can't afford to be put on bedrest or have babies in the NICU. Boring is better I think!
Congrats again on the girl.

I wanted a boy too, so I went to the stores and bought all boy stuff. I had comforters, clothes, robes, accessories, etc. But when I received the news that I was having a girl and she was healthy that was all that mattered. I went back to the stores to return the boy stuff and I ended up buying twice as much stuff for my little princess. I must admit, it's a lot more fun shopping for a girl!!! The good thing for me was that my boyfriend really wanted a girl, but supported my desire to have a boy so he was ecstatic with the news of a little girl. He actually said that he wanted a girl because boys tend to be bigger cry babies, how hilarious is that!
