My C section birth plan

Wow, thanks for all the info. I just know that I wanted a few things differently this time around since I really didn't have a chance to say much about it last time. I will definately bring everything up with my doc and see what she says. Of course I know nothing goes exactly as planned anyway so I won't be too horribly concerned. The one thing I definately want is the baby to be with either me or my husband 24-7. When I was in the hospital with my daughter. A lady came in at 2am in the morning and wanted to take my daughter away for a hearing test. I hadn't ever seen this lady before and I said no. It kinda freaked me out later when I thought about it and I never saw the woman again. So having my baby be away from me is not something I want for sure, unless Hubby or my mom can go with her.

Yeah, I'd be pretty adament about the keeping the baby 24/7, but I can tell ya, it never happened at anytime with our kids. I never personally went to the nursery for any exams.....never thought about it and they never offered to let me come in, but Daddy did go in when he would be there. I'm gonna be all on top of keeping Kenzie with me or in my sight at all times either by me or Daddy while I'm in this time. I mean, I'm in there for 3-4 days so I want to make sure she'll be ok and that if someone wants her in the nursery, I will take her there or be excorted with her and sit outside until she's done with her evals.

And whoever heard of them doing the hearing test at 2am?? Must've been the nightshift......who knows, but that's wierd.

This is all great info!  I have never had a birth plan before but sounds like a great idea.  I've always wanted my babies to stay with me 24/7 as well but they always took them anyways.  I'm scheduled for a tour of a new hospital next month...I'm going to specifically press them about this issue...see what their policy is.  

You would think them being our babies we would have ultimate say if they could be taken or not right?
