Got home yesterday from tt
I got home last night after having my tt on Monday. I came home with 2 drains which are only draining about 1/2 to 1 oz today. But I have some leakage around the drain area? so not sure what is going on.
I ended up with having to be cut side to side and up and down fro breast bone down. I feel very tight but I thik it will look great once the swelling goes down.
What has everyone taken for pain? and for how long? They prescribed percocet but oly enough for 2-3 days. I am walking like an old man and sleeping in a recliner. No appetite which I guess is ok.
Just thought I would give an update!!

Glad you're home. I also had the LBL with anchor cut TT. I'm 6 weeks out and loving the flat tummy. It is tight and I am trying to make an effort to stand tall. I really didn't need any pain meds. It took me weeks to get my appetite back after surgery. Try to get your protein in as its essential for wound healing and Dr. S said it would help with the drainage.

Glad you are home and feeling well enough to get up and on-line.
The appetite took about 5 days to return for me...maybe even more like 7...but it does come back.
For pain....By day 3 I was only taking 1 percocet every 6 hrs and I think by day 5 only 1 at night and Aleve if I needed something during the day. I really didn't have much pain...just that super tight "uncomfortable" feeling.
Yep, you walk bent over for a few days...everyone is different but I think about a week is the avg. You don't want to straighten up too much too soon or you can pull your muscles and undo all that work.
REST UP and load up on protein!
Take it easy

Anne,
Glad everything went well. I had leakage around my one of drains for a few days. Nurse said it was entirely normal. Pain meds: sounds like a call for a refill is warranted. Appetite: try to eat as much protein as you can. Also be sure to get in your Bromelain and Quercetin for inflammation and swelling. That helped me tremendously. Arnica Montana helps with pain and swelling, as well.
Take it Easy and listen to your body. Rest.
