Sunday Blessings

Good Morning OFF,

Sorry I've been AWOL the past several days.  It's been a crazy week.  Between nights at the zoo, and  babysitting, I have been extremely busy.  Plus, it's crunch time with the zoo.  I've been getting ready for graduation.  Yesterday, we had to do presentations, which meant preparing note cards for reference.  Now, I have a take home final quiz/exam to finish by Saturday.  I've missed my Bible study two weeks in a row, which I'm not happy about, but I had to stay home those two Saturday, and make them up at night.

I've never been very organized, and when I get crazy busy, like lately, I get worse.  Since Christmas, my house has become so badly disorganized, I'm about ready to cry.  It is worse than it's been in years.  Between being sick with those sinus infections, and the back pain, plus the busy schedule, so many things have slacked off.  Please pray I get it together.

Vickie, I hope your surgery went well.  I was praying, even though I wasn't online.

Connie, I hope your trip went well.  Not sure if you're back yet.

Not sure if I posted that Baby Natalia is home from the hospital.  She came home on Tuesday.  I took the family a meal on Friday.  I had a turkey breast, so I made that, and homemade stuffing and gravy, plus brownie.  I got to see her, and she is definitely related to my grandchildren.  Precious, chubby cheeks.  Did I mention, she has two older brothers?

Anyway, I have so much to do today.  I want to work on my Bible study, and take exam, today.  I also have grocery shopping, and cleaning to do.  All that, after church.

Must scoot.

Sorry I missed a whole bunch of you when I mentioned prayers and well wishes.  My brain is overwhelmed.

Must scoot.  Love, hugs, and prayers.

Trish

Good morning sistas!

I am home and doing well.  The pain level has greatly decreased since yesterday.  As long as I don't move too much, I'm pretty comfortable.  You all wouldn't believe how flat my tummy is!!!  OMG!  I just keep looking at it.  THe PS took 2 1/2 lbs of skin off my lower tummy.  She also took the "hole", the scar, and my original belly button.  She made me a new belly button!  I haven't seen it yet, since it's under a bandage.

Anyway, I sure wouldn't recommend doing the panniculectomy for fun.  It was quite painful the first 24 hours.  But now it's just a stinging sensation along the incision.  The worst part is the drains.  I have two of them.  She had to put them in BELOW the incision line, and since the incision is at my bikini line, you can just guess where the drains are--that's right!  In my ****!  LOL!  Sorry if that's too much information, but geez, I never expected that!

So, I go back to see her on Tuesday, and she said she would remove one of the drains then.  I'll go back again the following Tuesday and she'll remove the other drain.  I have no stitches to remove.  She "super glued" my incision together.  So hopefully I'll be all healed up by the 2nd week and ready to show off my new bod.  Ha!

Butch stayed right with me through the whole thing.  He had a really miserable night in a recliner in the hospital room, so we were both wiped out last night and so happy to be back in our own bed.

Today the kids are moving furniture out of this house and into the new house.  Hurray!  They are planning to spend the night in their new home tonight.

Well, that's about all I can think of right now.  I surely do appreciate all the prayers and love y'all sent my way.  I could feel your support.  It means so much.  I love you all!

Vickie, I'm so glad you're doing so well.  I have a friend back in the Philly area who had plastic surgery, and she complained about the pain on the PA forum for weeks.  It almost scared me from ever having it done, should the opportunity ever arise in the future.  Poor thing.  I hope you continue to do well.

Hugs and prayers,

Trish

Dear OFF friends,

Trish,

You remind me of my mother (in a very positive way ). Here is how, she worked full time as a nurse at a hospital and later in a physician's office. She was a Camp Fire Girl leader, srrved on the county boards for the American Cancer Society and American Heart Assc. She ran the nursery, daily vacatin Bible school, president of the ladies mission society and the away one week church camp for our church and the two week day campbfo camp fire girls. My parents were the you leaders for the church, band orchester and future home makers parents.

So, needless to say my mother was not a great housekeeper and our house was a hodgepodge of craft project setups and in the ready for the youth group gatherings th s t occurred at our home about every other week. My fsther was great about it and one year he bought her a hot plate trivet that becamev thr statement of love, acceptance,  and welcome that represented our home. Perhaps it can put it in perspective for you. It read COME IN, SIT DOWN, RELAX, CONVERSE. OUR HOUSE DOESN'T ALWAYS LOOK LIKE THIS. SOMETIMES IT'S EVEN WORSE.

Vickie, so glad you are home and doing well.

Trish, glad the baby is home and doing well. Please pray for my great nephew. My niece had to go home without him. He has a high bilirubin anf is not nursing well.

Well i am off to the shower. Will check in later

Blessings to all.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

We are supposed to get up to 60 today. It can't decide whether it's spring or winter here.

Had a hectic night at work but got done before deadline. Slept pretty well and now I'm up, drinking coffee, waiting for my Skype chat with my brother. I've got a little bit of a headache but the icepack on the neck is helping a bit.

Vickie, glad you're home and healing already.

Judy, you've had a hell of a year weather wise.

Trish, my home is always in a state of chaos ... I'm a slob. I wanted to hire a cleaning lady but decided instead to help my former boss ... he likes to clean anyway, so I'm going to hire him to clean my apartment while he's here. He gets a little extra money, I get my apartment cleaned and everyone's happy. It's not a lot of money, but when you're unemployed every bit helps.

Not much else happening here. Hope everyone is good ... can't remember who else posted. Have a good day.

Eileen Briesch
