I have had a hard time getting my posts on OH. Strange stuff.
Sober 286 days and so proud of me. Not much going on. Feel yucky and stuck.
Chix in crock pot, making chix & dumplings today. Too hot to boil the chix so that is why the crock pot is cooking it.
Hoping that Carla is happy today and enjoys the wedding, she sounds so stressed.

Well OH is not perfect.  I figured out it was Grammylew's post but not her picture.  Crazy how those glitches rear their ugly head from time to time.

Eileen congrats to your brother on the job.  A job is a job even if part time.

Monica congrats on the continuance of your sobriety!  Way to go girl!

Frustrating day yesterday.  Still plaqued with burping and discomfort under my sternum.  Finally got so concerned that I called the surgeon's office.  On call doc and I spoke.  He didn't think it was a leak but suggested taking some Maalox and my pain meds.  Shazam!  A miracle the burping and discomfort faded.  I had gone back to total liquids yesterday but did not eliminate the Benefiber.  Today no more Benefiber as that is the only thing that I have changed in the last three days of discomfort besides the yogurt.  Brunhilda doesn't want any fiber at this time.  Anyway, I'm feeling better this morning and less worried so I'm hopeful that that is the problem.  See the NUT and the surgeon on Tuesday so will definately mention this to both of them.

Got three large blocks for the retirement quilt done yesterday.  Hope to get three more blocks done today as well.  I'm motivated to get this done in time for the retirement party the first week of October.

Not much else is new here in Maine.  It was warm and sunny yesterday.  Got laundry out on the line and got it off the line just as the rain started in the evening.

Everyone sounds a little down today, and I hope that it gets better.

I'm doing fine, not too much going on here.  I just finished my first protein shake, which took two hours to get down, but it is fine.  I will try my first walk outside today, and that's it!

Good Morning Karen,
Good to see you posting.  I had a tough day at work yesterday.  Everything went smoothly till the last two patients.  The psychiatrist had not done his/her evaluation, and that prevented me from being able to write a treatment plan for these two, who both suffer from some sort of psychosis.  If I had the psych eval, it would have been easier.

Enjoyed last night's Phillies game, with an 11-3 win.  They took advantage of some errors on the part of the Nationals.

Today has me running between the raindrops, and heading to church, where I am a Greeter.  I have shirked this responsibility in the past, much to my shame.  It is only four times a year, but when I was in a depression last quarter, I was not going to church at all.

Then I have to head to Walmart and a grocery store for some stuff.  And then, home to pack some more.  I am getting some boxes from my sis-in-law who just moved from an apartment to her house.

Cleaned my house yesterday -- took my time and rested in between rooms, took me longer but it was easier on my foot that way.

Went to early church this morning, then came home and put fresh green beans, new tiny red potatoes, ham from the freezer, and onion in the slow cooker.   Oh it was so good!
Will have it to eat on all week.

It's very gray and dreary here today -- but cool!  Have the doors open to air out the house.

Watching the PGA tournament (golf) and will work on the Noah's Ark baby bib.

Have all four pins out of my toes now and hoping when I see him on Thurs. I can finally get free of having a bandage on.  I've been using the vinyl cast cover to take a shower every other day, but it's so tight it's making my leg bruised at the top.

I signed up on a website called "Senior People Meet" .....have had  some really interesting responses, but am not going to do anything -- it's just for fun.

Need to wash up the crockpot.....have a super Sunday.

Good evening, sistas!

Sitting here in a hotel room in Houston tonight.  Our flight for Canada leaves at 7 a.m. in the morning, so we came down to Houston a night early rather than get up at 3 a.m. and drive down here from home.

Anyway, I finally have a working laptop again!  Hurray!  I still have to take my old hard drive to a computer place and get them to extract all my data for me, but that can wait until after vacation.  For now I have my internet and email back working and can take my laptop on vacation with us, so I'm happy!

We went to Red Lobster for dinner tonight and I had crab, shrimp and scallops!  Yum!  But I could only eat a couple of shrimp, one scallop, and 1 section of crab legs.  It just feels so wasteful, you know?  Hubby helped me out on the crab, but I had to leave the extra shrimp and scallops.  Not possible to do a to-go box tonight either.  I just hate waste.

I'm getting pretty excited about seeing Canada next week!  I've never been much of anywhere.  Hubby travels all over the world and I stay home.  Hmmm.  What's wrong with this picture?  LOL!  I'll be taking lots of pictures and hopefully posting them on FB. 

I enjoyed catching up on all the posts from the past couple of days.  Too many to respond to tonight, but you know I LOVE YOU ALL!

          I see you are in Indiana. I was raised there. Up by Lake Michigan. Spent the summers in the water at Indiana State Park (beach or what ever.) I was there 1 year or so ago and could not believe how crowded it was. What5 part of the state are you in?   Mag

Eileen, I hope your aches have gone away. Congrats to your brother. It is so hard to find a job these days. Anything is better than nothing. At least my kids have jobs that will always be there-the military and fast food!
Yesterday we went to our son's for cake and ice cream for his birthday. By the time we left it was time for his pain pill and you could see it in his eyes. He insisted he wanted to have people over. I guess when you have been stuck in the house for a week, you need to talk to someone.
I have the dress for my clown done. The jacket will get done today, then the vest and the hat. Next will be the Indian girl. And I am making headway on the genealogy stuff. At the moment, I'm not entering any data, just scanning the stuff my aunt sent. On some dreary winter day I'll get everything entered into my family tree program. Yeah, right!!
More thunderstorms forecast for today. Some neighboring counties had some really high winds and huge hail yesterday.
