Hi Shirley,
You will love "The Help" -- our book club read it a while back and declared it one of the best we've read.    I just finished  The House at Riverton by Kate Morton (Glass Castles, & The Forgotten Garden) and am starting her newest "The Distant Hours".  I've also ordered from B/N "House Calls & Hitching Posts" and "The Goodbye Quilt".   I love love love to read!

Hi Shirley -- yes I've read all the Nicholas Sparks books -- great reads.

I am hoping to see "The Help" movie, but afraid I will be dissappointed....so many movies made from good books leave so much out.

Pat

Good mornin', ya'll.
My memory has gotten so bad! When I get on here I want to comment on specific posts and find I can't remember who said what. Sometimes I write it down, but no time this morning!
Trish I hope your tummy troubles are over. Eileen, we enjoyed the HP movie, but books are always better. Carla, you will remember everything I am sure! Everyone else I forgot, I am paying attention! I hope you all went and got some sleep.
I leave my Sissy's in about 30 minutes. I'm glad and sad. I want to get back to my life and do what I want, when I want in my own house. But Di has just gone downhill so since I saw her last year! She gasps for breath, she can barely walk, she forgets things she did 2 seconds ago (OK, I have that problem, too), It would be nice if I lived close enough to be helpful to her more often. But, then I would be crazy!! Her DH works an hour away, so she tries not to do something that could cause a fall when he is gone. He is a big help to her. But he is also an enabler. Bringing her donuts and other treats, when she would be so much better off with a few pounds off!
So, now I am heading out for VA to pick up my grandson from his military academy summer camp. Then on home by Saturday night.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
