HUMP DAY ,,,and it is HOT
Oh Margaret! How fun! A genealogy trip to Ireland. I'm Scots-Irish, too. I have lots and lots of places I would love to visit in the British Isles. Some of my people came to York County, Pennsylvania in the mid-1700's, but many, many came to South Carolina in the mid-1800's following the potato famine. They slowly migrated across the south until they settled in Texas.
I have always wanted to take "a trip across the South" in search of old cemeteries, churches, and courthouses to take pictures and find more information about my ancestors.
I had so much research accumulated, that I decided I needed to collect it all in one place on-line. I have a genealogy website if you want to take a peek at it. www.boundfortexas.org.
BTW, can't wait for our trip to Canada in a few weeks! I'm planning our clothes right now. The cooler weather just sounds heavenly to me right now! It's currently 97 F here right now with a heat index of 106 F! I'm ready for some mountains!

Hi Shirley and my OFF family:
Hot here too, 94 degrees and feels like 104. I'm off for 3 days and have no big plans, other than tomorrow to go to see Harry Potter with my one and only friend here in Monroe, Juliette's former momma, Patricia. Then I might take Patricia shopping because her car is in the shop and she needs supplies. Least I can do for her after all the times she has taken care of Juliette.
But today, I'm going to veg ... well, I do plan to cook because I have to do something with the peppers and ground round. Otherwise, I'm watching baseball. I'm still in my jammies and the only reason I'll get out of them is to get mail and take out the smelly garbage (and it is smelly).
I think Zumba would be too hard on my back and knees. Although I have noticed that Cymbalta has made a big difference on my pain level. It's about cut in half, and I have needed the vicodin less. That's a good thing.
Anyway, have a good day. Stay cool if you're where it's hot.

Greetings Shirley and OFF Family,
I got up late and had to run out the door to work. Then, work ran a half hour later than scheduled. On the way home, I had to stop at a doctor's office, to get my application for a Disabled Parking Placard, because my old one runs out on the 31st. Then, I went to my state representative's office, only to learn that the Notary is on vacation, so I had to go to a quick tag place to get the form notarized and sent to Harrisburg, ASAP. Then a quick stop at the grocery store, and a farm stand.
The rest of my day consists of walking Utley, and watching the Phillies game.
Hugs,
Trish
