HUMP DAY ,,,and it is HOT

You have every right to how you feel and I believe that since all dogs are animals, with instincts and sometimes I imagine things bother them and they lash out, no different than us humans, hell what was the excuse that woman had yesterday for calling you a B*!*!?  So your point is taken as well.  Problem is that we often humanize our animals and expect them to act with reason, they cannot, they act according to their instincts and how people harness those instincts, but there, as in your SIL's case, is an example of instincts being stronger than the harnessing of them.  Guess we can agree to disagree on this one. . .

Sending you hugs and hope you can find pleasure in your sweet Bandit and not let this ruin your days off ;)  L

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Judy-- I know how much you love Bandit and all animals.  I'm sorry to hear about Buddy.  Growing up in the country, you get used to losing a certain amount of livestock, etc.  It just happens.  But puppies are so special to us.  I know I think of mine as people.  (Sorry, Laureen!)  I don't understand how some people can train an animal to be aggressive.  That just goes against all decency.  Sometimes I wonder who is more "humane"--us or the animals?

Judy...the first thing I thought of was how awful you would be feeling. I knew this would be reminding you of Spike. That dog definitely needs to go and should have been long ago!!

Love ya...hugs...connie d

 Good morning Shirley and everyone.......

Shirley...spaghetti sauce...yummy....love the smell of that simmering. That is one thing I miss so much!! My pouch will not tolerate pasta at all. ENJOY!!!

This morning I was sitting outside waiting for Grace's dad to drop her off. When she got here we sat out for another 1 1/2 hours saying goodbye and waving at all the thousands of bike riders going past our house. Grace was so excited because they waved back and answered her too. She rode her bike up and down the sidewalk...feeling so proud!! It made me giggle jus****ching her!!!

I have errands to run that couldn't be done yesterday with all the people and traffic around. We live one house off the main street through Boone. Couldn't get out of the driveway if I wanted too!
So many nice and caring people...it was an awesome event!!

Have a wonderful day everyone. Many prayers for those in need...special ones for Morgan....God Bless her!!

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Connir, have you tried spaghetti squash, or zucchini instead of pasta? I use them in alfredo & macroni salad too. It's different but still great!

Good morning Shirley and OFF family,

I am late posting this morning.  Is it still morning?  Just barely!  I can't remember the last time I slept this late.  It was all Lulu's fault!  We had a possum in the yard last night, and the dogs just went beserk!  I finally got Patty Kate to come in, but Lulu just would NOT mind me!  So I said, "Fine," and decided to let her sleep outside last night.  Big mistake.  She was still barking and barking at 1 a.m.  I finally put on boots (cause what if that possum decided to "bite" me! LOL!) and trudged out in my nightie and captured my silly dog and brought her in for the night.  Crazy puppy!

Oh, and great news today!  Today my BMI has finally dropped below 30!  I am no longer "obese" anymore.  Now I am officially just "overweight"!  You all know what I'm feeling I'm sure.  I am doing the victory dance around the scale this morning.

My sewing adventure was interesting yesterday, to say the least.  Never doubt my ability to think outside the box!  My jumpsuit is now a pair of pants and a top.  I just never could figure out how to make that jumpsuit work for my big, long, tall body.  So I hemmed the top half and made a crop top out of it.  I added an extra wide waistband (think cumberbund) to the bottom half and made a pair of cropped pants out of it.  I now have a very casual summer outfit that I can wear around the house or to the store, but nothing to wear to that outdoor wedding.

So today I'm going to try cutting out and sewing that new sundress.  We'll see how well it turns out.

Nan, praying for little Morgan, her doctors, and your whole family today.

Good luck to Eileen and DebbieJean and Carla on their job hunting and interviews.

Monica, I might just have to call that number!  I'm so proud of you for doing your civic duty so faithfully.

Cindi, your approaching surgery date is exciting!

Julia, enjoy your vacation.  You've certainly earned it and you need the respite.

I can't remember anymore right now.  Feeling the pressure to get moving on my day, since it is HALF GONE already.

Love you all!

It is beautiful today!

A lazy day for me.  I go back to work in 3 weeks, I think  -  I haven't looked at the calendar to figure this out yet!  I'm just enjoying each day and living in the moment.

I may clean out my office or my spare room.  Both need it badly.  I have been suffering the effects of being outside near several fields of crops and my allergies are demonstrating that they are alive and well.  Consequently, I have been lethargic and headachy  -  at least that's my excuse for doing very little so far this week.

I will attend aqua fitness this evening and after that ...  not much, maybe some TV.

Am planning a day trip to a mall in Michigan where Canadian money is more than American  -  wow  -  that rarely happens, so a friend and I are going next week to check out the sales.  Has anyone from Michigan been to Partridge Creek?  We are going to Somerset, but I'd like to go Partridge Creek sometime soon.

I'm also working online to find a tour of Northern Ireland for next summer.  My ancestors came from there during the potato famine in the 1840s,  and I'd love to see and feel the culture.  My last name is a rare Irish name and am having a hard time tracking down any relatives, but I hope to do so by next August.

Have a happy day.

Margaret
