Nan, hope it all works out for your granddaughter and son. DeVos is a good hospital so maybe this clinical trial will work out for Morgan.

Morning OFF family!!!

Nice and cool this morning and feels almost chilly to me after that heat and humidity we just had!!!! But its going to heat up again and more storms possible. :-) I love the storms and love to watch them also...just do not like the death and destruction it leaves behind!

Been working long hours and my body feels it too!!! I am off today and tomorrow and that is great!!!! Had one lady yesterday order a pretzel and pop and as she went to grab her cup it slid off the counter and on the floor. I got her a new cup and straw and as she took that she walked away she mumbled something i didn't catch. Matt was standing there and he asked me if I heard what that woman called me. I said no...he said she just called you a *****!!! WTF?????? I asked him what did I do that made her call me that? He said nothing wrong at all!!! So WTF??????? I never did anything wrong to her that would cause her to call me that...oh well...I am a ***** and THE head ***** at that as my exhusband called me all the time!!!! LOL Guess the heat got to alot of people so maybe that is why??

Found out that one of the most friendliest dogs was bitten the other day by the mean dog at other end of my building. That dog is a menace and needs to be taken away from here!!!! Before we moved into this building I was warned of this vicious dog that had taken 1/2 the ear off another dog and also one of the maintenance guys was also bit by it!!! Now this!! Poor Buddy!!!! I haven't seen him so not sure how bad it is/was. But still!!!!!!!!!! That dog needs to go!!!!!!!!!!

Apartment manager is back today from her vacation. Hope she likes to hear all the news of the bad things that has happened while she has been gone!!!!

Need to do laundry today. NOT looking forward to climbing the stairs at all!!!! Should also get some cleaning done while its cool enough. So might just do something constructive on my days off...hahaha I still have 3 afghans to get made before Christmas gets here...I did start one and only have 4 or 5 rows done. Just not into it right now. Way to hot to work with yarn...LOL

Bandit needs another bath and haircut and so afraid to take him back to the groomer that hurt his dewclaw!!!! But they always get him in and out fast so thinking of calling them to see if I can get him is soon. If Bandit would only let me brush him he would be ok but his hair is getting long enough to start matting so it needs to be cut off again. Sighs.

Well better get going and see what bills need to be paid and hope the rent isn't to much for next month seeing as Rick didn't work anyplace to earn money...he works for complex its money off rent...no money. Sooo better get going and see how much money we have just incase.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them. Keep cool.

HUGS

Hey Grammylew, just saw a piece on Fox news about a new migraine treatment. Doctors implant a device that can turn off a headache. Maybe your DIL can look into this. Wish I had gotten the name of the device, but missed it.

Update on Buddy...manager was told and shown Buddy's wounds...She went off her rocker and that dog is gone from complex she said!!!! Rick said he saw Buddy for the first time and he has a huge gouge out of his neck and its all swollen. The dog that bit him had to be kicked in its throat to get it off Buddy!!!! I am sitting here crying and I don't know how I will react when I see Buddy again...all I know is that dog is going off this property soon!!!!!!!!!!! Good riddance to this ******* of a dog!!!!!!!!! So many bad memories of my Spike getting attacked and I have this now....I have no use for pits or any mixes of them!!!!!!!!!!! they are bad news no matter who owns them!!! They cannot be trusted at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH...this dog was also untied!!!! Now why would they leave that vicious dog loose??????? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

Judy - I am sorry that Buddy was attacked.  I am an animal lover and know that it must be difficult to see another dog hurt even if it is not your own.
Whenever a dog, like the one that attacked Buddy, acts out, I know that it is not the dog that is to blame but  the owner.  The owner needed to have the dog under his control and it sounds as if the dog wasn't.
Pit bulls, or mixes, have been bred by humans to be vicious.  They are not only bred to be vicious but are often trained to be vicious.  I feel sorry for those dogs as they have little control.  I often see young men with pit bulls walking down the street using their dogs as a sign of their toughness/fearlessness, whatever.  Their attitude seems to be "don't mess with me - I am as mean as my pit bull".   I fear that those dogs are used to fight and to provide "entertainment".  It's disgusting to me that humans have to resort to this.  I can't imagine a pit bull being treated as my dogs are or Julia's or Laureen's dog or your dog is.  Our dogs receive love and attention  -  I think that that is not the intention of many pit bull owners.
So, again I'm sorry that a dog in your apartment complex has been attacked, but try not to be too critical toward the pit bull as they have as much control of their environment and their treatment as a child has of his/her.

Margaret, I lost my Spike to a pit/rot mix and ever since then I have NO use for those dogs!!! They can' NOT be trusted at all!!!!! So forgive me if I "hate" that breed of dog!! If the owner(s) know that this dog is vicious then they need to CONFINE it!!!!!!!!!! Or better yet have it DESTROYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry but that is how I feel and it will never change!!!

Aww Judy, I understand how you feel about things based on your dear Spike being killed by your neighbors dog, which dog was never properly socialized and trained on how to behave, but then again from what you shared, the neighbor was not a very nice person, so I guess his dog was a reflection on him.  Truth be told, I've known labs that turned on other animals and people for that matter and chiuahhuas are also a small breed with a bad attitude.  All dogs have a prey instinct, they are after all descended from wolves.

I take my Roxie to the dog park and more than once she has been attacked by a smaller breed dog, dogs that have no business being in with the bigger ones to begin with, but because their owners have a bigger dog that they do get along with, they make the assumption that the dog will be fine with all other dogs, which is not always the case.

Roxie is a prime case of a dog that was trained right, when another dog goes after her, she generally ignores them, if they don't get it, then she just puts them down by holding them with her paw.  All I am trying to get it is, while you have had a bad experience and there is plenty of news about the breeds you bring up, bad dog ownership is the root cause of most situations, if you ever have an opportunity to watch the Dog Whisperer, you will see him show people just how they need to handle the so called "aggressive" dog, be it a chiuahhua or a Mastiff.  People should not be allowed to own dogs that they have no understanding of how to work with, as dog ownership is a BIG responsibility, very similar to having children.

No hard feelings, just trying to let you know I DO UNDERSTAND where you are coming from, but truly it is the dogs owner who is to blame and since the dog has attacked other dogs, it needs to be removed.

Hugs and special thoughts as this whole nightmare brings back the one you lived!  Laureen

Ok point taken...BUT....what about my ex sister in law's doberman?? Now he was brought up very good, also had obedience training and he was a dog that was unpredictable!!! He turned on my SIL and got her in the face!!!! That was the end of Warlock!!! He was a great dog and even though he had training up the ying yang he STILL ATTACKED her!!!! So its not ALWAYS the owners fault!!! I hate pits and anything mixed with it!!!! My exhusbands grandson has a beautiful pit and its a baby and I DO NOT trust that one either!!!!!!!! Sorry but I have been around dogs all my life...raised them and even showed them at one time in my life. Even if my Spike wasn't attacked by that pit/rot mix I still would not like them!!!
