Good Morning Shirley- you sound like a bundle of energy. I totally agree with you about feeling thankful for the many good things in my life. I am in Lake Tahoe on vacation- one that I sorely needed. I'm relaxing a lot. Yesterday we went up the mountain in a gondola. It was a beautiful trip- there was even some snow on the ground which is unheard of here in the late summer.
I am still trying to keep tabs on my mom from here. I think they are not feeding her, just making her drink Ensure. My brother said that when he got there yesterday she had no water at all. She is so quiet that I'm afraid that she is neglected. I realize that she is dying (at least it looks that way) but the basics should be provided until she says no. When I feed her she only eats about 20% of her meal, but she enjoys that 20%. When I get back I'll get to the bottom of it.
On Friday night we are going to see Lady Antebellum in concert. I'm excited- then on Saturday morning we will head home. We are both missing our dogs a lot and I know that they are thrown off balance by our absence. My poor daughter is running to the house 2-3 times a day to get them to potty, eat and play. I'm almost afraid to say it and jinx the success but our "Penny" who was so difficult to potty train, has had no accidents at all yet.
Today we are going to Virginia City- it's an old Gold Rush town here in Nevada. I need to go back to bed now and get more sleep.
Morgan is in my heart every day Nan... I'm carrying her there as are many others here I am sure.

I'm awfully glad that you are giving yourself some time to relax and getting away for a while.  Physically, emotionally and mentally you have needed to slow down and regroup  -  you have had so much to deal with.  I hope that this week has given you some respite.
Love,
Margaret

Julia....I am so glad you are being able to relax and enjoy some of your vacation. Good that you will be following up on the staff at your mom's place...no water is inexcusable.
I am so jealous...Lady A is my absolute favorite group!! I hope to see them sometime too.

Good morning Shirley and OFF family to post.

Had an "impromptu interview" for another job here at the hospital where I work. It went well but there are a lot of bids for this job. It's on the 3-11 shift but I like this certain unit and the staff. They are all engaged employees and have a "work family attitude" which I love.
We will see what happens but it was good anyway to keep my interviewing skills up anyway.

So I exercised in my pool yesterday, didn't make it for the walks I planned cuz I was just too busy but heck, I got lots of work done yesterday so it's all good!

Planning on going camping this weekend at a cramp ground we have never camped at. We did go there 2 years ago for a barn dance that was opened to the public and had a blast. So I'm looking forward to going there and walking riding my bike and probably go to Lake Michigan in Ludington, it's just a few miles away, we will be in Scottville. Fun!! Whhoooooo!!

Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

Debbie I LOVE hearing about your Michigan adventures! Ludington is so great - one thing I would love to do that I have never done is a fishing charter. And that beautiful stretch of park along the beach - what great memories.

Scottville isn't far from where my ex's family has their roots - between Reed City and Baldwin - up that way.

Lynn,
I just love Up North and just getting away. The beauty that Michigan has is plentiful!
I love water of any kind, I love to ride my bike and this campground also has a pool so I'll use that too. Hope it won't be too hot cuz I really want to explore Scottville on my bike.
You have a great day. Debbie
